The Victory of the Christ Child Over Sin, Satan, and the Culture of Death in Rockford
Just as Herod slaughtered countless innocent children in his attempt to wipe out God, life, and love and hold onto his place in this passing world - so Rockford's abortion mill spent the Christmas holiday in the fashion of Herod by killing ten of God's children.
The Glory of the Lord will be revealed. (Is 40:5)
At this same killing center a few short hours before Christmas in Rockford over 50 followers of Jesus Christ, like the shepherds and wise men, "went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger." These people came because they love the Christ child and to pray and sing Christmas carols for every child ever killed at this place of death in the heart of our city.
On this cold and windy morning at a building where over 50,000 children have been killed the power and grace of Christmas was experienced in the hearts of at least three young families. As the beautiful sound of Christmas carols was filling the air three mothers chose life for their children! When all three mothers entered the killing center parking lot they heard the sound of people praising "The news of great joy, today a Savior is born for us, Christ the Lord."
The "truth and grace" of these Christmas carols touched the hearts of these mothers. One young woman stayed in her car with tears in her eyes but the Lord "turned her mourning into joy" as she quickly left this "valley of tears" in Rockford.
For countless Christmases yet to come three families will experience the life and joy that always comes when we respond to the grace and love of Jesus Christ.
And as long as children are killed at the Northern Illinois Woman's Center in Rockford Christians will not only pray at the manger of Jesus we will also "Stand by the cross of Jesus" until we all see the final and eternal victory, in the fullness of time, of the child born to a Virgin over those who reject God and destroy life.

Those two pictures you posted
Wed, 12/23/2009 - 2:33pm — Bob from Rockford (not verified)Those two pictures you posted work as bookends to our Lords life. The first has His birth and the second the Cross. In between is our Lords love, living in His people, standing in public against satan and one of his most effective wepons, abortion. As we all know, the love of the cross and resurrection win in the end and forever. Excellent post and story.
Editor's Note: Thank you for your beautiful comment on the two pictures. A beautiful Christ centered thought. I hope this will touch the hearts of all who see it. God bless you and your family as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Sun, 12/27/2009 - 7:10am — vin (not verified)What an uplifting story at this time in our poor country. So little faith, so much corruption. But stories like this help somewhat. May God forgive us and put His healing hand on and give His wisdom to our leaders so that they will do His will and not the will of the "prince of this world" as is so evident at this time.

Sun, 12/27/2009 - 8:31am — AnnaRose (not verified)Joy to the World! These babies saved may be a future pope or another Mother Theresa. But there still aren't enough people coming forward to teach that all life is sacred and to say to mother's we'll find a good home for your child.....just don't kill him/her. Thanks and blessings to those who were witnesses to their faith.
Praise the Lord for people
Sun, 12/27/2009 - 8:47am — Suzanne from Minnesota (not verified)Praise the Lord for people willing to pray. Never give up hope. 15 years ago I was a single mother of 2 small children and divorced. I ended up having 3 abortions (even though using contraception) in a 3 year period,as I could not continue to work 3 jobs, attend college, and take care of the 2 boys while pregnant. My boyfriend threatened to leave the country if I had the babies as he was of a different nationality. Well, I left him when I went to graduate school, continued to work many hours each week, raised the boys, and when my youngest went off to college, I experienced a conversion so strong it felt as if the Lord had chased me, knocked me to the ground (in a loving manner) and said "Wait a minute, now that you have some free time, spend it with me." The words that come to mind are the words from the Book of Joel "Return to me with fasting and mourning and weeping, rend your heart and not your garment." My heart was rent. I was surprised that after I went to confession, every time I saw the priest I confessed to, I felt thankful and reminded of how gracious God is, and not the least embarrassed. We must continue to pray.

Sun, 12/27/2009 - 11:58am — Susan from Texas (not verified)Look at the sign attached to the cross. Have 50,000 babies really been killed in that one city alone?
What kind of evil times are we living in where just one American city kills 50,000 of it own children.
If we take a few moments and really think about that it's almost to much to bear.

Sun, 12/27/2009 - 12:33pm — dennis weber (not verified)What about building a Eucharistic chapel right next to, or across the street from this butcher shop? Satan can't stand the presence of Christ; the exorcist of the Chicago archdiocese said this would effectively close abortion mills. 50,000 lives is way too many. This needs to stop. Put the funds together, get permissiom from the diocese, rent the building, schedule a regular rosary for the unborn there and begin driving Satan away. Good work this weekend but there is still much to do.

Sun, 12/27/2009 - 2:41pm — A Neighbor (not verified)A group of Priests began praying prayers of Exorcism on the sidewalk in front of this abortion clinic over a year ago.
Ever since they did that the number of children being murdered has been about cut in half.
It's amazing to see the owner of the abortion mill react in all kinds of strange ways when the Priests are praying. From dressing up in strange costumes, to running away when the priests are praying, to putting up really wierd signs in the windows about Priests.
Even a demonicly possesed neighbor of the mill has a bunch of signs of hate against priest in is front yard.
These Priests are kicking their butts through the power of prayer and they can't take it.
The main thing is we are seeing evil losing this battle and childrens lives are being saved. Hundreds and hundreds of childrens of lives are being saved by prayer!
God bless our faithful Priests.
