What The Promotion And Use Of Contraception Has Led To In Rockford

The Northern Illinois Women's Center Has Become The Final Solution For The Complete Failure Of The Contraception Culture

When Contraception fails, and it does every day, the final solution often becomes the killing of a child in the womb. This picture above shows the "condom monster" a take off on Sesame Streets "cookie monster."  The Rockford abortion mill has used the "condom monster" to promote condoms among children in Rockford.

The Rockford abortion mill is in the business of making money off of abortions.  When condoms are given to young people it promotes promiscuous behavior.  When the condoms fail they offer an expensive abortion as the answer, and make a lot of money doing it. As you see in the picture above the clinic landlord who brags about how much money he makes off of abortion happily welcomes the couple who give out free condoms.  From the clinic perspective why not - condom use breaks down morality and decency and increases abortions.

The Rockford abortion mill and its supporters pushing condoms is one of the most effective tools of the abortion industry to promote and increase abortion.  Here's how it's done across the country:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYaTywSDmls

The Church warned us of all this when Pope Paul VI predicted grave consequences that would arise from the widespread and unrestrained use of contraception. He warned, "Upright men can even better convince themselves of the solid grounds on which the teaching of the Church in this field is based if they care to reflect upon the consequences of methods of artificially limiting the increase of children. Let them consider, first of all, how wide and easy a road would thus be opened up towards conjugal infidelity and the general lowering of morality. Not much experience is needed in order to know human weakness, and to understand that men—especially the young, who are so vulnerable on this point—have need of encouragement to be faithful to the moral law, so that they must not be offered some easy means of eluding its observance. It is also to be feared that the man, growing used to the employment of anti-conceptive practices, may finally lose respect for the woman and, no longer caring for her physical and psychological equilibrium, may come to the point of considering her as a mere instrument of selfish enjoyment, and no longer as his respected and beloved companion" (HV 17).

No one can doubt the fulfillment of these prophetic words. They have all been more than fulfilled in this country as a result of the widespread availability of contraceptives, the "free love" movement that started in the 1960s, and the loose sexual morality that it spawned and that continues to pervade Western culture.

Indeed, recent studies reveal a far greater divorce rate in marriages in which contraception is regularly practiced than in those marriages where it is not. Experience, natural law, Scripture, Tradition, and the Christian history, common since all testify to the moral evil of contraception.

Ten Reasons Contraception Ruins Lives.

1. It separates people from God: God is a Trinity of three divine persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, who live in a union of total self-giving love. God's love is life giving, creative, complete. God created us in His own image and likeness to love and be loved. The beautiful marriage union of a man and woman is meant to be both life giving and love giving. Contraception destroys both. It makes the marriage act a lie. The spouses say to each other I am not giving myself completely to you, and I am not open to God's gift of life.

2. The health risks of the pill: It has been proven in countless studies the serious and even life-threatening effects of the birth control pill. From mood swings and depression to heart disease and cancer, the birth control pill blocks a healthy function of a woman's body, and her body rebels.

3. Condoms don't work: The failure rate for condoms varies depending on the quality of the material, storage time, and the knowledge of the users. Failure rates range anywhere from 9%-25%. There are many STD's that are so microscopic that a condom will NEVER protect against them. Combine that with the false sense of security called "safe sex" that promoters of condoms preach, and you have a recipe for disaster.

4. The devaluing of Children: Since contraceptives became widely used in the late 60's, the incidents of child abuse have skyrocketed. It is directly linked to the contraceptive mentality that treats children as a burden, intruders, unwanted liabilities, and even as a disease. Quite often when a contraceptive fails, the unwanted child is treated as just that, an unwanted child.

5. Women as objects: Contraception has freed lust and enslaved women to a deadly pill. Since contraceptives became widely used in the late 60's, the incidence of abuse of women has massively climbed. This is a direct result of the lessening of respect of men for women caused by the sexual revolution. Many men no longer believe they need to care for and protect women. With contraception women are on their own; if a mistake happens, it's the woman's fault. Some men now more than ever look at women as sexual objects (pornography is one of our nations largest industries grossing more money than the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and NASCAR combined!!!), and this is a direct result of the contraceptive mentality.

6. STD's: In the beginning the promoters of contraception extolled all kinds of lofty ideas. One of them was safe sex. In the mid 1960's there were about 25 known STD's. TODAY THERE ARE OVER 70 with some of them being deadly. Contraception has said to people, "Have all the sex you like". Our bodies and souls are rebelling against this false idea with deadly results.

7. Unbridled lust: Contraception has unleashed horrific consequences on society. It rejects God, life, and love, and promotes selfishness in our most intimate relationships. Just look at our books, magazines, movies, TV, billboards. Sex without love has become our #1 pastime. It's destroying the character, purity and goodness of our people, especially the young. Look at the number of teenage abortions, STD's, suicides, and unwed teen mothers.

8. Abortion: The promoters of contraception promised no more unwanted children, no more abortions. As we know, contraception unleashes lust on society which has resulted in countless single mothers, countless broken homes, and a staggering number of children who, now being thought of as an intruder, a disease,  are killed in the womb. Contraception is the single greatest contributor to abortion in the world.

9. Divorce: Married couples who use contraception have a 50%-60% divorce rate. Married couples who use Natural Family Planning have a 1-3% divorce rate. GOD HAS GIVEN US A NATURAL, EFFECTIVE, SAFE, INEXPENSIVE, LIFE GIVING, LOVE BUILDING, WAY OF SPACING CHILDREN. It is called Natural Family planning. If you want happiness, love and a lasting marriage, use NFP.

10. Jesus said, "Only the pure of heart will see God".  Contraception destroys purity and your relationship with God. It ruins your life here and hereafter.

Of course more condoms mean

Of course more condoms mean more abortions. The lady handing out free condoms had a sign that said one side, "condoms for christ" and on the other said "some day you may need a choice" Yea, if you use her condoms that fail and teach promisicuity of course abortions will increase - her sign was proof. Then we have the mill landlord who for 25 years has viciously attacked anyone who opposes abortion. He comes out of the mill and thanks the condom couple for coming and they have a big laugh like old friends. If condoms really cut down on abortion he would have attacked them like he does pro-life Christians with hate-filled signs and vile speech over his P.A. system. So why does a man who brags about the money he makes off of abortion welcome condom pushers to his death camp. Because he knows the more people think condoms protect them the more they act without morals and the more human beings end up dead in the mill and the more money they (the abortion mill) makes.

WOW!!!! I never thought of

WOW!!!! I never thought of that before! I'd bet the condom couple and ole Wayne are drinking buds-if not, they should be. They're probably bringing lots of business to Wayne via the failed condoms.

If you look in the picture

If you look in the picture above. The pro-abortion woman is holding a condom in one hand and you can read part of her sign that says "someday you may need a choice"

This picture says it ALL.............................

YOU ARE

YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY PILLS DIDN'T WORK AND THAT'S WHY I ENDED UP AT THE ROCKFORD ABORTION MILL.

May God forgive me

Great article again

Great article again

http://www.youtube.com/watch?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYaTywSDmls Amazing documentary. Where can I buy it? Thank you for exposing the Rockford abortion mill

Editor's Note:  The film has not yet been released but when it is we'll put information of the site.

I have read both articles on

I have read both articles on what happened with those people supporting the killing of children.

My take on it is they are just trying to mock the pro-lifers like the people who are infiltrating the tea party are trying to mock America.

Don't worry about them. They are a sad joke. Yes, a deadly joke but they will not last. Maybe they'll show up a few more times but the hatred of God and human life that drives them is not as strong as the love that inspires pro-lifers.

I hate that I have to take

I hate that I have to take birth control pills. Not because I'm worried about becoming pregnant, but because they're about all I can afford to help control the wildly fluctuating hormones and the same menstrual problems that my mother and grandmother and other female relatives have suffered with. Yes, I am embarassed that I have to take pills that the Church deems immoral, but my only saving grace and forgiveness is that I'm not unfaithful to my husband and that I don't take them for immoral reasons. Simply put, I HAVE TO take birth control pills for verifiable medical reasons. If someone-anyone-in the health field can suggest another, affordable way to control my hormones and heavy bleeding WITHOUT the necessity of birth control pills, please let me know(??) I just do NOT wish, want or desire to be lumped in the same category as those that take/use birth control pills for what are clearly risky behavior and lifestyle choices; especially if/when others are paying for these pills and contraceptives. I agree with others here: Not only do the folks pictured clearly not care about the lives of the girls, women and their preborn babies that enter and leave the doors of 1400 Broadway and countless "clinics" like it, but it's painfully clear that these folks hate or at least mock God and life enough to want to make a public point of such and no, I don't think such will continue for much longer, as I don't think it will be allowed to continue at least publicly and legally. Most folks just will NOT stand for it. Again, I just wanted to make my point about the difference between a want of contraceptive pills and services and the verifiable medical NEED for such, as in my case, that's all. God bless and keep up the excellent work!

Editor's Note: When you need to take the pill to control excessive bleeding or irregular periods you are not doing anything wrong.  This is no different than any other medication with side effects.  Those who take the pill to prevent pregnancy because they don't want to be "troubled" with children and want to live an immoral lifestyle will have much to answer for.

The ten reasons contraception

The ten reasons contraception ruins lives are so clear and to the point.

Abortion and contraception destroy so many lives.

Keep up the good work

The Truth Will Set Us Free

The Truth Will Set Us Free "The sinfulness of artificial birth control is rooted in the arrogation of the right to separate the actualized love union in marriage from a possible conception, to sever the wonderful, deeply mysterious connection instituted by God. This mystery is approached in an irreverent attitude. Here we are confronted with the fundamental sin of irreverence toward God, the denial of our creaturehood, the acting as if we were our own lords… It is the same sinfulness that lies in suicide or in euthanasia, in both of which we act as if we were masters of life. ~ Dietrich von Hildrebrand The way to plan the family is Natural Family Planning, not contraception. In destroying the power of giving life, through contraception, a husband or wife is doing something to self. This turns the attention to self and so destroys the gift of love in him or her. In loving, the husband and wife must turn the attention to each other. Once that living love is destroyed by contraception, abortion follows very easily." ~ Blessed Mother Teresa (in front of Bill and Hillary Clinton)

Do you want to help put an

Do you want to help put an end to the evil at Rockford's abortion mill? Then pray every day for an end to abortion. When you can pray at the place of death for so many children. Share local pro-life news will everyone on your email list, at work, school, where ever you can. When people see how sick this abortion mill is they are left speech less.

Ed:  Good advice.

Susan: I believe your

Susan: I believe your suggestion is excellent, however, if *I* were to so much as *attempt* to share, however respectful or lovingly or at least objectively, *my* pro-life views or if I tried to post something, in VERY short order I'd be verbally "counselled", made to sign a written disciplinary and very likely TERMINATED. Yes, in all likelihood, I'd be let go; fired. It's the luck of the draw @ my job, NOT being one of the big bosses' "sacred cows". No, I DON'T say this sacrastically. I say this TRUTHFULLY. .......... Again, Susan, your suggestion is awesome and spot-on, however, I'd even attempt to live my faith @ my job and at least two supervisors and probably one or more of the owners would (dare I say happily??) tell me to tell that to the folks down @ the unemployment office. .........I'm amazed we're even granted this right anymore; with the way folks are ALLOWING our Constitutional RIGHTS to be stripped away and with such hostility toward Christians. This is "why" I sign my posts Sad In Rockford

Ed.Note:  Dear Sad in Rockford, As you will notice we withheld some of your comments; please be assured that this is not for the purpose of censorship.  I will ask this question of you and make it a statement to our other readers:  Are you revealing too much personal information about yourself which could make you vulnerable at work or community?  We love hearing from our posters and quite often feel that the posters have more profound things to say than many of the professional writers out there; for that we are grateful for your input.  We would be truly disheartened if this wonderful forum of ours would be used as a weapon against some of you.

We would put the entire posting on as you sent it if you give us permission, or maybe you might want to word things a little differently so you are not as recognizable.  All of your comments were appropriate, but could be possibly be traced to you because one of our other readers might have knowledge of your background.

With that cautionary statement made, thank you to all of you good people who take the time to drop a post on our site.  It truly is an enhancement to our pro-life endevors

May God richly bless all of you and your families.

I understand and respect why

I understand and respect why you didn't post all of my comments-I simply had a lot on my mind and heart and wanted to post it before it escaped my memory. I didn't think I gave any revealing details about my job and/or identity, but perhaps, I did; not giving conscious thought to it. Understandably, I'll have to be more careful in this regard. I don't think and I hope certan individuals I spoke of DON'T genuinely dislike or hate Catholics, but as you respectfully pointed out, past behaviors, comments, etc are a good indicator of future behavior. Again, I totally understand your not posting my complete post. Please feel free to share my post amongst your staff and/or any Catholic folks or officials who feel/believe it to be of interest. Respectfully and lovingly, Sad In Rockford

Ed:  Thank you for your response.  We will share your comments with our staff and other interested people.  Our first concern was/is compromising your anonimity; we surely don't wish to do that.

I agree with Susan. Pray but

I agree with Susan. Pray but be sure to pass this information on to other. When I tell people about the pictures I have seen of this killing center they won't believe it. Then I send them these stories and their reactions are stunning. My liberal friends rant and rave that this must all be fake. The abortion industry is not not this sick and disgusting. My Conservative friends realize the evil they see from this abortion mill will continue if we don't fight it. My Christian friends, most of them, understand we have failed in standing up to evil as we should and that God is allowing the filth, sickness, demonic evil, and disgusting murder of babies in the name of evil that happen at the Rockford mill because we have been silent way to long. This mill wakes them up.

The Pill's Deadly Affair with

The Pill's Deadly Affair with HIV/AIDS

by Joan Claire Robinson

The world's deadliest killer, HIV/AIDS, and the Birth Control Pill have been carrying on a secret and deadly "love affair" for decades. While women swallowed their “freedom” with the morning orange juice, studies that should have made global headlines yellowed in medical journals, unknown to the general public. Only doctors learned about the pills deadly affair with HIV/AIDS, and they were too busy writing prescriptions for hormonal contraceptives to talk.

More than 50 medical studies, to date, have investigated the association of hormonal contraceptive use and HIV/AIDS infection. The studies show that hormonal contraceptives—the oral pill and Depo-Provera—increase almost all known risk factors for HIV, from upping a woman's risk of infection, to increasing the replication of the HIV virus, to speeding the debilitating and deadly progression of the disease.1

A medical trial published in the journal AIDS in 2009—monitoring HIV progression by the need for antiretroviral drugs (ART)—saw “the risk of becoming eligible for ART was almost 70% higher in women taking the pills and more than 50% higher in women using DMPA [Depo-Provera] than in women using IUDS.”2

Studies aside, it is well known that HIV/AIDS strikes more women than men. Some would argue that this is a result of the desire of men for young—and presumably uninfected, sexual partners. Few are willing to discuss a more obvious explanation, namely, that the Pill and Injectables render women particularly vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.

How serious is the problem? Oral contraceptives and Depo-Provera are among the world's most popular and prevalent contraceptive methods. According to one study, “More than 100 million women worldwide use hormonal contraception.”3 In America, hormonal contraceptive rates are over 52% in unmarried women—those at greatest risk of HIV/AIDS. Moreover, in the interest of lowering the birth rate, the UNFPA and USAID continue unloading boatloads of hormonal contraceptives on Africa, Haiti and other AIDS-ravaged developing nations.

The best meta-analysis done to date, done by Dr. Chia Wang and her colleagues, surveyed the consensus results of the 28 best published studies since 1985. They found that the “significant association between oral contraceptive use and HIV-1 seroprevalence or seroincidence … increased as study quality increased.” In fact, “Of the best studies, 6 of 8 detected an increased risk of HIV infection associated with OC [oral contraceptive] use.”4

On the National Scale
Moreover, Wang's results showed even more of a Pill/HIV link when they limited studies to those conducted on African populations. This is significant for two reasons:

First, sub-Saharan Africa is home to the world's earliest and largest heterosexual HIV/AIDS epidemic, which to date has infected an estimated 22.4 million5 people. This is two-thirds of the total number of infections worldwide.

Second, sub-Saharan Africa has endured decades of contraception-focused population control programs and countless hormonal-contraceptive trials. “Among the six countries hardest hit by the HIV/AIDS epidemic … two in three users in the six countries rely on the OC (oral contraceptives) or injectables,”6 said Iqbal Shah of the World Health Organization.

Likewise, Thailand, praised for a contraceptive prevalence of 79.2% in 2000 and upwards of 70% today, is a land where, “More than one-in-100 adults in this country of 65 million people is infected with HIV.” 7 Among Thai women, “Oral contraception is the most popular method.”8 9

On the other hand, Japan's HIV rate is, at 0.01%, one of the lowest in the world.10 In this context, it is important to note that the birth control pill was illegal in Japan until 1999, and even today only 1% of Japanese women use oral contraception. Similarly, the predominantly Catholic Philippines, with a longstanding popular resistance to contraception, boasts an HIV “prevalence rate of only 0.02%.”11

Hormonal Changes Heighten HIV Risk
The studies that demonstrate a connection between hormonal contraceptives and HIV/AIDS infection postulate a number of mechanisms at work.

First, let's review the basics. The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), is carried in warm blood or sexual fluids. It infects through fragile, inflamed, bleeding or needle-pricked tissue, attacks specific T-cells in the immune system, and causes the incurable, debilitating condition known as AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome).

Hormonal contraceptives increase almost all known risk factors for HIV infection.

Studies have found that hormonal contraceptives “alter the microenvironment of the female” 12 and boost the cell count of those specific cells that HIV uses to infect and proliferate (HIV co-receptor CCR5 in cervical CD4+ T lymphocytes).

What is more, a progesterone side effect known to American women as “breakthrough bleeding,” is caused when hormonal contraceptives excessively thicken the uterine lining. The large, bleeding surface of the uterus creates an ideal site for HIV infection.

Progesterone also has an immunosuppressant effect, which means that women using hormonal contraceptives have less in the way of natural defenses against HIV and other STDs, such as chlamydial infection or genital herpes (HSV-2).13 14 In one study, “HSV-2 infection itself more than tripled the risk of HIV infection.”15

In the vagina, increased blood and the independent hormonal effects of the Pill eliminate the natural pH acid protection against infection. What is more, a famous study of rhesus macaques found that hormonal contraceptives thin the vaginal walls and markedly increase SIV infection (the monkey equivalent of HIV).16 Vaginal dryness, another side effect of hormonal contraceptives, is not only painful but also makes one prone to tears and abrasions—fertile sites for infection.

One study points out, “On a cellular level, hormonal contraceptives have been associated with cervical and vaginal inflammation.”17

Further, hormonal birth control causes the fragile cervical tissue to grow beyond its natural bounds and replace what would normally be thick, protective membrane. This “cervical ectopy” is dangerous because the cervix's thin surface is the main site of HIV infection.18

Given all these different ways that hormonal contraception promotes HIV/AIDS infection, it is not at all surprising that several studies show women on the pill, Depo-Provera, etc., are more likely to be infected with not just one, but several variants or strains of HIV. This “in turn leads to higher levels of viral replication and more rapid HIV-1 disease progression.”19 20 21

Women on hormonal contraceptives are not only more likely to contract HIV/AIDS, they are also more likely to pass it along to their sexual partners. The three studies which focused on “the impact of hormonal contraception on cervical shedding of the cell-associated virus”22 all found that HIV-positive women on hormonal contraceptives are far more likely shed HIV in their body fluids. High-dose pill users were over 12 times more likely to shed the HIV virus than women not using contraception, low-dose users were almost 4 times more likely, and Depo-Provera users were 3 times more likely.23

Martin, if your liberal

Martin, if your liberal friends don't believe you, please tell them when NIWC is open, along with who and what to expect.
If you share this information with them and they decide to visit 1400 Broadway and they still don't believe or they still say such things are fake, believe me, it's NOT you, me, the Church or anyone or anything else.
It's their intentional refusal to see with their own eyes and think with their own brain that precludes their ability to acknowledge such outrageous public behavior and what these folks either do directly to preborn babies..or at least they condone what is done to them..in the name of more and MORE profits.

Again, such is NOT anti-choice rhetoric or propaganda or sensational, melodramatic emotionalism; it's all too gut-wrenchingly painful and objectively REAL.

Respectfully, Sad In Rockford

Hi sad in Rockford Quote:

Hi sad in Rockford Quote: It's their intentional refusal to see with their own eyes and think with their own brain that precludes their ability to acknowledge such outrageous public behavior and what these folks either do directly to preborn babies.. You said it perfectly. They choose not to see the truth. All any person has to do is look at a picture of a child in the womb to know she is a person. That is why the liberal news media will NOT show these pictures because they know if young mothers saw them they would know the truth. I'll never blame a young, scared mother for her abortion - the greater responsiblity is with those in government, media, abortion clinics, and our culture who lie to these women and hide the truth from them. God bless you.

Even if one re moves any and

Even if one re moves any and all moral/religious aspects and [publicly]says that "There's no god." or "God is dead", such folks have to acknowledge that the greatest majority of us humans were/are born with free will. In other words, we were born with the ability to reason and in few short years, we develop a sense of knowing the difference between right and wrong and completely unacceptable behavior. It's my personal opinion and belief that the ability to know the difference between right and wrong and the use of reason or at least know what it is, is what separates us from lesser animals. If we CHOOSE NOT to acknowledge and/or use some-any-modicum of what passes for reason and acceptable norms of behavior then we are no better morally or life-wise than a wild animal; a senseless savage beast. How can anyone NOT look at REAL pictures or even the bodies and body parts of aborted babies and STILL dismissively say that it's just "products of conception" or no more than a glob of cells or a clot or some similar repugnant LIE?!? I'm a rape/abortion survivor and for untold many years I closed my mind and heart to the abortion debate...until a few years ago, a genuinely Godly priest sat me down after Mass one morning and over the next couple of hours, respectfully, gently and objectively explained "why" abortion is so horrific, traumatic and negative and simply NOT just from a Biblical/Catholic perspective, but medically AND spiritually. It truly was like someone ripped a blindfold off my eyes and heart and each and every day the killing center is open ever since this priest opened my heart to what my attack and abortion did to my baby, me, my (now ex)boyfriend and to our families and society, I actually feel "off" - slightly dizzy, depressed and a kind of helpless anger. Society "needs" abortion like we "need" MORE or HIGHER taxes. We "need" abortion like pigs or pitbulls "need" lipstick. Yes, there's a lot wrong in our Church and their willingness to allow known pedophile priests to infiltrate our ranks and cause untold damage, but I stand firmly with our Church's uncompromising stance on abortion and will say so publicly! I've always found it distressing to say nothing of schizophrenic that a lot of folks who can't or won't look at pictures of aborted babies are the same exact ones that have zero problems viewing violence and sex-saturated television and movies, view and enjoy pornography and/or have zero problems with their children playing video games with known bloody violent content...yet they just can't seem to bring themselves to confront what abortion does to tiny pre-born babies?!? Sorry, but such befuddled thinking leaves me scratching my head and almost crying... Each and every, repeat, each and EVERY social ill that we had BEFORE abortion was legalized in 1973 has been made WORSE and has been exhaustively documented by anyone and everyone from ignorant anonymous sources to the FBI, CIA, AMA and other reputable organizations... Each and EVERY social ill that was "out there" BEFORE abortion was legally allowed to rear its bloody ugly face has, not unlike an atomic bomb, literally exploded and has done NOTHING BUT SKYROCKET! SO...... I have a question for the likes of Wayne Webster, our pro death for money "alderman" Karen Elyea, Keith Sterkeson and their ilk, exactly WHAT GOOD has abortion benefitted society?? It's incredibly stupid that folks are ALLOWING the legal intentional killing of potential future workers and citizens that can "put into" our Social Security and other programs. And it's equally stupid and sad that parents are equally choosing NOT to instill a life-based ethic in their children but instead, one of unbridled "I got mine and to hell with you!" entitlement. And folks STILL can't be bothered to see the barbarity of abortion " WHY " ?!? And some on the net here wonder why I sign myself Sad In Rockford?? I do NOT believe in abortion and/or paying for or being FORCED to subsidize it in ANY way, shape or form. Nor do I believe it's my obligation to feed, support, clothe, house and educate those amongst us who clearly are able-bodied, reasonably able-minded and clearly have the ways, means and abilities to help themselves make better and more informed lifestyle choices and decisions. I am verifiably broke, am being taxed at a beyond describable extortionate rate and am, for the most part, surrounded by apathetic, excuse-making folks who seem to have zero problem with forcing their choices, agendas and lifestyles on those of us who neither share nor desire to share such, yet I'm FORCED to accept and pay for them and theirs. How and/or why is this considered fair?? Where's the justice?? And a lot of folks can't bring themselves to acknowledge the REAL barbarity virtually under their noses?? Yikes! These things are just my perspective, but I call things as they present themselves and it's no wonder why I'm Sad In Rockford.......

Ed.Note:  Sad in Rockford-keep your chin up, keep the faith, and keep praying--unceasingly-for an end to abortion and the ruination of our once great nation.  Stay strong and don't let all this get you down.  We know who will win in the end and we just have to endure and stay with God.

Again, does ANYONE that works

Again, does ANYONE that works in the medical field know what else I can take to control wildly fluctuating hormones and heavy menstrual bleeding? I'm open to all respective, objective medical replies because I do know that taking birth control pills isn't healthy for me long-term, but unless someone is willing to either pay for another type of medication and/or pay for the surgery I'll eventually NEED for these problems, I don't know where else to turn(??) It's bad enough I have to take "the pill" and it's [more than]enough that I'm forced to pay for others' medications, dental, education, etc and I can barely get the help that I can PROVE that I [medically] NEED and then throw the moral aspects of taking "the pill" into the already volatile mix... My God, so many times I feel like no matter what I say or do or even *attempt to* that I can't even break even much less win in life. "The breaks" almost ALWAYS go to those that DON'T need nor deserve them and it's ALWAYS on folks like you and me to toe the line, play by the rules and mop up and pay for and be taken to task for every real and/or percieved wrong-doing. I certainly have and keep my Faith, but I'm just so sad and angry and sick and tired of seeing good, decent and believing folks treated like so much crap because of the agenda(s) of a comparatively small amount of others. The tail does NOT wag the dog - the dog wags its tail. What is so hard for folks to understand about this?!? The SAME applies to free will and the choices we make. I just feel incredibly hurt, sad and frustrated right now and I believe God knows and understands... Respectfully, Sad In Rockford

Ed. Note:  Dear Sad-I wish we could give you medical advice, but that's beyond our scope.  Surely there must be some pro-life OB-GYN doctors in Rockford who could help you in some way.  You're right-taking the pill is not a good thing to do health wise, but the alternative of the misery you're going through is not a good thing for you, either.  It sounds as if the pill is the only thing at this point that is helping you and your problem, though.  It's a bad situation and our prayers are with you.  We ask all of our readers to pray that just as the woman who reached out and touched Jesus' garment and was healed, you will be healed of your affliction.  In the meantime it seems your only choice is to continue this medication until further knowledge comes along.

You're right about the injustice in the world today but remember in the final days it is said that good will be bad and bad will be good; this is truly where our world is at right now.  May God give us the strength to endure it.

I have heard some good things

I have heard some good things about cornerstone clinic in Rockford. Or call the respect life office of the Diocese and I'm sure they can help 1-815-877-LIFE God bless you, you are in our prayers.

The Dawn of Demonic

The Dawn of Demonic Deception
By Jenn Giroux

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of "The Pill" the Wall Street Journal ran a lengthy and misleading article ("The Birth Control Riddle" April 20, 2009) by Melinda Beck, calling the arrival of The Birth Control Pill the "dawn of dependable contraception" which "ignited the sexual revolution, ended the post-war baby boom and helped millions of women enter the work force." Ms Beck then proceeds to lament all of the "unplanned pregnancies" which still occur today before detailing for us how safe it is now to use new and improved birth control methods.

Marshall McLuhan, the late, great expert on the media, who converted to Catholicism before he died said, "The major media are engaged in a Luciferian conspiracy against the truth." How true! Ms Beck's column is a prime example of this conspiracy, including such blatant lies and misrepresentations as:

"the benefits outweigh the risks" when taking "The Pill"

"...the longer a woman uses the pill, the lower her risk of ovarian and endometrial cancer", and

"...the pill does not seem to increase the risk of getting [breast cancer]".

Beck then goes on to reassure the readers with sources such as the Guttmacher Institute (Planned Parenthood's own research arm) and a quote from Planned Parenthood's VP of Medical Affairs who explains away the damaging side effects by saying, "We have to keep these things in perspective. A woman's risk for problems is substantially higher during pregnancy."

"The Pill" and the widespread use of other contraceptives in reality ushered in the 'Dawn of Demonic Deception' in America. One needs only to review some of the bitter fruits of "The Pill" to appreciate why.

* A Mayo Clinic study said that women who use hormonal contraceptives for a minimum of 4 years prior to their first full term pregnancy have a 52% higher risk of developing breast cancer
* Women who use a hormonal contraceptive for more then 5 yrs are 4 times more likely to develop cervical cancer
* Prior to the sexual revolution and "The Pill" there were known to be 5 sexually transmitted diseases: Today there are more than 30.
* There are over 50 medical studies which indicate that use of oral contraceptives and Depo-Provera place women at higher risk for almost all known risk factors of HIV.

As we look around today, we see how accurately Pope Paul IV predicted what would follow if contraception were adopted on a wide scale: a general lowering of moral standards, an increase in infidelity, ever-greater objectification of women, and the use of contraception as a weapon. Smaller and more broken families, rampant homosexuality, pornography, and China's coercive one-child policy are just some of the sad and obvious reminders of Pope Paul's wisdom in reaffirming the Church's perennial teaching against contraception in Humanae vitae.

Exposing the lies of contraception is, indeed, the great moral challenge of our day. It is not only a battle for life, it is a battle for souls.

When asked recently by a major publication to name her greatest regret, Martha Stewart replied, "Not having a dozen offspring." This neatly summarizes the widespread "post-contraceptive regret" that weighs heavily on the hearts and souls of women who bought into the lies of the abortion industry. Even Catholic families have since the 1960's dropped from 5.5 to 2.1 children today, increasingly rejecting the joys and challenges of larger families for the lesser goods of greater material comfort, "freedom," and professional accomplishment.

The 1920's-era story (ironically, the same time that Margaret Sanger was beginning her efforts to legalize contraception and abortion in America) comes to mind of the small boy who was peering out a window at dusk as a man came along to light the gas street lights.

His mother asked, "What are you looking at?"

As if explaining the obvious, the boy replied, "I am watching a man poke holes in the darkness."

Today as confirmed Catholics this is all that God is asking of us - to stand in bold witness and poke holes in the spiritual darkness that surrounds us. Encountering the demonic deceptions forwarded by Ms. Beck and others who ignore the devastation wrought by contraception, we must answer with the light of truth.

Our daily faithfulness to God's perfect plan for sexuality and marriage through the rosary and sacraments is the only way to reclaim the culture and our nation. Only by using these gifts can we help bring about a countercultural comeback of chastity and the family.

Hi Friends, Every person

Hi Friends, Every person should read this. It's clear and to the point. Contraception Is Still Not the Answer by John Jansen A Wall Street Journal article titled “The Birth-Control Riddle” appeared earlier this week in anticipation of the 50th anniversary next month of the introduction of the birth control pill in the U.S. After referring to the inception of the Pill as “the dawn of dependable contraception”, the author, Melinda Beck, gives an overview of the various contraceptive options now on the market, and goes on to note that nearly half of all pregnancies are unintended — essentially the same as in 1994 — and that “smaller studies have found that even newer birth-control methods haven’t made much of a dent.” 48% of unintended pregnancies, Beck points out, involve contraceptive failure. She also notes this: And many young people are in “the fog zone” in which their beliefs about pregnancy don’t match their behaviors, according to a 2009 report by the National Campaign to End Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. In a survey conducted by the Guttmacher Institute of 1,800 single men and women aged 18 to 29, more than 80% of both sexes said it was important to them to avoid pregnancy right now, yet 43% of those who are sexually active said they used no contraception or used it inconsistently. So much for the glories ushered in since “the dawn of dependable contraception”. Christina Dunigan points out that a lot of the dot-connecting here can be attributed to risk compensation, the commonsense explanation that observes that people generally behave more cautiously as their perception of risk or danger increases — and, conversely, that they tend to behave less cautiously as their perception of feeling “safe” or “protected” increases. Couple risk compensation and ubiquitous condoms, pills, and other contaceptives, and it’s no surprise that today’s unintended pregnancy rates and abortion rates (to say nothing of the STD rates) are where they are. There are a number of problems with the article — such as Beck’s claim that “the pill does not seem to increase the risk of getting [breast cancer],” despite the fact that the American Cancer Society admits it does — but its most glaring deficiency is its treatment of contraception as a great social good with only a few minor drawbacks that have yet to be smoothed out. Nowhere is the question raised that maybe, just maybe, contraception itself might be A Really Bad Thing. When the Pro-Life Action League hosted its groundbreaking Contraception Is Not the Answer conference in September 2006, Eric Scheidler mentioned in his introductory remarks that in today’s world, telling people they shouldn’t use contraception is akin to telling them they shouldn’t use soap. So widespread is the acceptance of contraception today that it’s not surprising that those of us who oppose it would not register even a passing mention in an article on the topic in the mainstream media. And this is precisely why, now more than ever, we must tell the truth about contraception.
