What Does The Future Hold For The Rockford Abortion Mill And The Children Who Face Death There?
Since 1985 the Northern Illinois Women's Center has been in the business of murdering children in the womb. Now it seems as though the abortion business in Rockford is "dead" in more ways than one.
Rockford IL, May 4, 2010 - On the last Friday in April 2010, a large group of teenagers came to pray at Rockford's killing center. They were joined by dozens of other Christians who offered help to mothers entering the mill. Many other people came to pray and hold signs of life and love.
The power of prayer was sensed and felt by all - especially by the two mothers who chose life this morning. Many people who passed by the pro-lifers said, "Keep up the good work," and "God bless you."
Has the tide has turned toward life?
More and more people are seeing this abortion mill for what it is. A place of death, misery, hatred, lies, and suffering. A decade ago this clinic was sometimes open three days a week, killing from 20-40 babies on each of these days.
The abortion mill security guard strutted around, threatening and insulting people at will. Sometimes he would even wear a devil suit and bluster about spraying Christians with raw sewage from a truck he had. What he was doing with his own personal truck filled with raw sewage, no one ever figured out!
Even the bad publicity about the abortionist who founded the Northern Illinois Women's Center and his wife, who were arrested on child pornography charges, did not slow down the efficient killing machine they had set in motion. For the Rockford abortion mill, all was good. Babies were being killed by the thousands and the blood money was rolling in.
So why is their business dying now?
As the seven or eight abortion mill workers arrived this morning to kill babies, their faces told the bitter story of years of death. They had harsh, lifeless expressions but were also grimly determined to complete the gruesome job ahead of them today of facilitating the dismemberment and deaths of children in the womb.
At least on this day, the mill had more workers and staff than children to kill. An estimated eight babies were butchered in the womb. That's a far cry from the nearly one hundred dead babies a week this mill chalked up a few short years ago.
So what has changed?
Many things have played a part in the decline of the Rockford abortion mill from a major force in the abortion industry to an acrimonious, little killing center that is now known throughout the country for its vicious bigotry and hatred.
1. The weight of sin and death that hangs over those who operate, make money from, and kill babies at this mill is wearing them down. The power of greed, hate, and death can only last so long before it collapses under the weight of its own iniquity. By destroying God's beautiful children, they are ultimately destroying themselves.
2. The power of prayer. So many of you are praying for life. Praying on the sidewalks of the killing center, praying at home, at church, at work.
We have people who pull their cars over to the side of the road in front of the mill for a few minutes on the way to work to pray.
We have other who pray at the mill for up to two hours on days when the killing mill is open.
People in nursing homes are praying for an end to abortion as well as for children in schools.
40 Days for Life prayer vigils have saved nearly 30 babies from brutal death inside the mill.
The mill can't stop the power of faith-filled prayer.
3. Standing up to the killers of children. In the last few years the Rockford Christian community has stood up strongly and clearly against the threats and intimidation of the Rockford abortion mill.
As with all bullies who pick on those weaker than themselves (such as babies in the womb), these bullies have been put in their place.
No matter if it's a ranting racist supporter of the mill, a radical pro-abortion alderman, or some one who hides behind a brick wall and places a rubber chicken over the body of Jesus on a crucifix.
The Rockford Christian community has focused the spotlight of truth on these people, and that has for the most part driven them back into their hole.
Because of these efforts, the Rockford police department is at the mill to protect us pro-lifers whenever we are there in prayer. Even the city council wants nothing to do with the mill's "bubble zone" idea. As one city councilman said to a pro-lifer, "No one wants to be associated with that place."
4. Silent No More. Many women and men are now standing up and telling of the horrors that have gone on behind the walls of Rockford's abortion mill. A woman has told us about the abortionist complaining during her abortion that her baby in the womb was fighting for her life, "It's trying to get away. I've tried three time to get it." Many mothers are coming forward about the harsh treatment and lack of information they have been given about the babies in their wombs from the staff of the Rockford mill. These courageous women and men have enlightened us to the horrors, lies, and brutality of the culture of death
5. United We Stand for Christ and Life. Christians from scores of churches and countless youth groups, schools, home school associations, clubs, and organizations have come together to pray for an end to the killing at Rockford's abortion mill.
Hispanic, African American, white, Catholic, Protestant, young, old, rich, poor - it makes no difference. We are united in love for Jesus Christ and the mothers and children facing the lies and killing of the abortion industry.
6. The Ultra-Sound. Even though pro-lifers have been told by mothers leaving the mill that they have been discouraged or even refused the opportunity to see their own ultra-sound images, many mothers in Rockford have seen ultra-sounds from medical personnel who do not make money from abortions.
When a mother sees an ultra-sound, she sees her son or daughter, and very few mothers can kill their children after they have seen them.
Our pro-life sidewalk counselors offer mothers a coupon for a free ultra-sound so they can see their babies who love them.
7. The vulgarity, bigotry, and revolting hatred of abortion in Rockford has been exposed in the media. Over 45,000 people have seen the videos exposing the evil of the Rockford abortion mill's hatred of God and life.
Thousands more read about it on the Internet.
When we pro-lifers talk with local politicians, medical personnel, or people on the street, we hear how they are sickened and outraged by an abortion mill that has celebrated its 50,000 murdered babies as a victory over God--not to mention the other countless signs and symbols of bigotry and hatred.
What does the future hold for the Rockford abortion mill and the children of Rockford?
"All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats." Matthew 25. God will end abortion in God's way and in God's time. It is up to us to continue to be strong, faithful public witnesses for life and love in our city, leaving the results in the loving and merciful hands of our Father in Heaven.
The faithful prayers and witness of Rockford area Christians has resulted in the numbers of abortions being cut down to one third of what they once were, and the numbers of mothers choosing life climbs daily. But as long as even one child faces death in the Rockford mill or any abortion mill, we still have a lot of praying and work to do.
The merchants of death who have thrived from the misery of the people of Rockford for 25 years will one day meet the Creator, Father, and Lover of the 50,000 lives they have so brutally destroyed. They will clearly see and experience what they have done to these children and their mothers. We leave them in God's hands.
As long as even one child is murdered in the Rockford abortion mill, we must be determined, even if it takes the rest of our lifetimes, to spend ourselves in faith, hope, and love for Jesus Christ and "the least of His people" facing death at 1400 Broadway.

Tue, 05/04/2010 - 2:23pm — Robbie (not verified)I couldn't agree more. Great story of hope and the power of good people to stand against evil.
Thank you for what you doing. I'm sure the mill will hang on with a death grip as long as the can kill even a few babies but it is so good to see the progress that has been made against these killers.
Another point you could have
Tue, 05/04/2010 - 2:54pm — Megan (not verified)Another point you could have added to the the list is the pro-aborts are getting older while pro-life ranks are filled with young people. In many ways the abortion industry will abort itself to death. Look at those who make money off of dead babies in Rockford. First of all they couldn't even get a Rockford doctor to do it so the got an old guy from wisconsin to come here and kill babies. The clinic landlord looks like he's about 80 years old with the depressed look he always has on his face. At his age he'll be answing to God before long for his crimes. The local pro-abortion network is a few old 60's radicals. A bad joke. But the pro-lifers are young, vibrent, full of faith. Did any of you see all those young people during 40 Days for Life.
Editor: Great observation!

Tue, 05/04/2010 - 7:27pm — Beth (not verified)Another trend is you can't find any abortion supporters willing to debate the life issue against pro-lifers. They know all the proof is against them so they won't even discuss it. For all those excellent reasons you listed above the people of Rockford know how sick, evil, and deadly abortion is.

Wed, 05/05/2010 - 8:33am — Kevin (not verified)This story is proof that God is saving lives in Rockford.
But we must remember that as long as one child is in danger we must be willing to pray and offer help and support to mothers.
God bless all of you pro-lifers for your witness to life that has produced such powerful results and saved so many lives.
This article is so true.
Wed, 05/05/2010 - 10:12am — Robert (not verified)This article is so true. Christ can never be defeated. Sure they hung Him on a cross - but that was His victory of love for us completed in the Resurrection The Romans persecuted Christians for 300 years - but the Christian martyrs blood is the seed of the Church. Stalin mocked God by saying "how many divisions does the Pope have" - Stalin is in hell and Russia is now free. This killing center in Rockford has hung a rubber chicken over Jesus on a cross, they have persecuted and killed God's infants, they have mocked Christians. And in the end they will inherit the same thing as the roman empire and Stalin. God will always win in His way, His time, and His place. It's good to see this victory or life over sin, satan, and death is drawing near. It doesn't matter how long it takes, it will come.
These are all reasons why
Wed, 05/05/2010 - 10:37am — Susan (not verified)These are all reasons why abortion will one day just be in the history books like with what the Nazis did to the Jews.
I wouldn't be surprised if one day the mill in Rockford is turned into a museum / memorial dedicated to the thousands of babies murdered murdered there. It would also contain displays of the anti-Christian hatred that drives the place.
"We must not be surprised
Wed, 05/05/2010 - 11:15am — Rebbeca Lynn Meyer (not verified)"We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of wars, of hatred. If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other."
No wonder the Broadway neighborhood is such a wast land when in the center of it is a place who's only reason for being is to destroy human life.
This article shows us all the power of life and love. It does seem like we are headed in the right direction in exposing the evil of child killing.
Maybe if this mill closes the Broadway neighborhood can get life back in it also.

But thanks to the prayers and good work of Rockford pro-lifers and the public displays of evil at this mill they are destroying themselves. KEEP PRAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Editor: We must remember that the Guttmacher Institute is affiliated with Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider. We already know PP will say/do anything to increase their profits so read the article with an open mind. It also goes to show that if the figures given are accurate, women are having abortions for financial reasons, not for their "health" as most pro-aborts would have us believe. I'd also like to add this point: during the great depression people continued to have babies even though it was the most devastating financial time in our history. It was not the self-serving, godless world that we live in now. Children were considered a blessing from God, not something to be disposed of at will.

Wed, 05/05/2010 - 1:26pm — Mary Ann (not verified)You are right. We have no excuse for killing a baby.
Just look in the newspaper and you will see ad's from a lot of people who will adopt a baby.
No child needs to be killed.

http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2010/may/10050505.html IT CAN HAPPEN HERE TOO! No mill in the country is as openly full of bigotry or celebrates the killing of children as the Rockford mill. Rockford Christians continue standing strong in love against this evil and it may one day fall as the Madison late term killing center did.

Wed, 05/05/2010 - 3:56pm — R.C. (not verified)Hey, what's up with the picture above. I've seen it before. It's of a baby in the womb named Samuel who while he was being opperated on reached out of his mothers womb and held the finger of the doctor.
But I thought the supporters of the Rockford mill say, "It's only a glob of tissue."
Sure looks like a baby to me?
So who's wrong? The people making money off of killing babies or the picture that clearly shows that it's a baby reaching out for life.

I'm sad to say that I think I have gotten too used to evil prevailing in our culture. It seems in so many cases that what is good and lovely and praiseworthy is being trampled by what is expiedient and politically correct.
To hear that enough people are rising up and making a difference...it makes me feel very hopeful. I've seen the video about this Rockford abortion clinic. There is not a more evil place in the country.

Thu, 05/13/2010 - 11:50am — Anonymous (not verified)Yet we're labelled the enemy.
By politicians, lawmakers, sympathizers, lobbyists, presidents, etc.
By ignorant, apathetic, excuse-making family, friends and strangers.
By certain foul-mouthed and publicly shamless neighbors and ersthwile and equally verbally toxic local politicians.
I don't believe I need to name names or no longer point fingers.
Such folks and their histories and actions are plain and visible for literally anyone in the world to see and know. With a little effeortless searching and typing on a computer with internet access or by simply picking up any newspaper one can see and know for all time what and whom we speak of.
While we are only one person and can only do so much, together, as walking pro-life testaments, pro-life educators and warriors, we are so much more standing together and I truly believe that's what the whole pro-abortion no questions asked on demand lobby hates!
We truly have strength in numbers and we'd best get and be every bit as serious about pro-life victory as our opponents are about our defeat and demise.
Again, together, WE ARE SO MUCH MORE SO LET'S NOT WASTE THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT WE'RE BLESSED WITH and as prolifecorner.com's slogan so eloquently puts it - "Without life nothing else matters."
So relevant and 100% OBJECTIVELY TRUE!
