On Friday April 30, an estimated 8 children in the womb were intentionally killed inside of Northern Illinois Women's Center. Many pro-lifers came to pray this morning including a large group of teenagers. The result was at least two mothers who we know chose life today.
One of the couples who chose life arrived at the mill with a child about a year old. As we have seen so many times in the past, when parents try to enter the clinic with a child who can be seen, it sends the workers into a tizzy. They immediately order the child out of the building. It seems something about a laughing, playing, happy baby really disturbs them, and they can't stand the child's presence in the mill for more than a moment.
Thankfully, the parents of this child stopped to talk with sidewalk counselors and said they will not have an abortion now. It really opens the eyes of mothers and fathers to see the reaction of those inside the mill when children are near. It clarifies for them in many ways that this abortion mill is about destroying children's lives.
As the couple began to drive away, the mother who had her baby now safely inside her and her other child on her lap was smiling from ear to ear.
Mom said "thank you" to the pro-lifers and held her baby's tiny hand and glowingly waved at each of the sidewalk counselors and pro-lifers as they drove away.
We could see in the mother's eyes that as she held one of her baby's hands, she was really waving for both her babies in thanks to God for the horror they were saved from this morning.
On Wednesday May 5, an estimated nine children were killed inside the Rockford abortion mill.
As Christians stood outside this place of sadness and death offering help to mothers, it was hard to distinguish the drizzling rain that fell on the depressed faces of these mothers entering the mill from their tears.

On the sidewalk as faithful witnessed to Christ and life stood in the rain praying, one of the sidewalk counselors stood out. She held a sign that said, "I regret my abortion."
What stood out about her was the love and truth she shared with the mothers entering the mill, and the confident faith and joy she had as a person who knows and loves Jesus Christ. She was a living witness to the grace, mercy, and love of Jesus Christ.

And to Him was given dominion and glory and kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom one that shall not be destroyed." On this morning when clouds covered the Rockford abortion mill, we did see the light of the sun briefly break through. We also saw the light of the Son of God as two mothers chose LIFE.
Sidewalk counselors spoke to both mothers as they arrived at the mill. As one of the mothers was leaving the abortion mill, she turned to a Catholic Priest with the joy in her eyes that only comes with choosing life. She smiled broadly, waved, drove away, and took the light of Christ and life with her.

MADISON, Wisconsin, May 5, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Pro-Life Wisconsin (PLW), through the Alliance Defense Fund, announced Wednesday that they have received official confirmation from the Wisconsin Attorney General’s office that the Madison Surgery Center (MSC) has abandoned its plans to perform late-term abortions.
“We give credit first and foremost to God for this pro-life victory,” said Peggy Hamill, state director of Pro-Life Wisconsin, in a statement Wednesday. “Pro-life grassroots activism works. We have held countless prayer vigils, attended by thousands; aired hundreds of pro-life television commercials in the Madison area; tens of thousands of people signed our pro-life petition; and hundreds boycotted the Madison Surgery Center. We have maintained a daily prayer presence outside the MSC, and our NoUWabortions.com website has served as a virtual hub of resistance.”

The Madison Surgery Center board voted to allow late-term abortions at a February 2009 meeting. The Madison Surgery Center is a joint partnership between Meriter Hospital, the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation.
Following the decision, officials were bombarded by pro-life outrage from across the country. 2,000 pro-lifers rallied in protest only days after the decision, and in January, over 20,000 pro-lifers signed a petition delivered to officials condemning the plan. The decision also incited an advertising campaign opposing it.
In January, documents obtained by Pro-Life Wisconsin and the Alliance Defense Fund via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request raised serious concerns that the late-term abortion setup was designed to supply the school's medical researchers with fresh fetal body parts for experimentation.

Matt Sande, legislative director for Pro-Life Wisconsin, told LifeSiteNews.com that the turnaround was due to the co-ordinated, multi-faceted approach of the pro-life effort.
After Pro-Life Wisconsin exposed the project that the center was "obviously trying to keep secret," said Sande, "that rocked them back on their heels right away, I think, from day one: they knew that the pro-life community wasn't going to tolerate a late-term abortion plan - and in downtown Madison, in their state-of-the-art surgery center."
Sande mentioned that a boycott sponsored by PLW, in which several families abandoned the Madison Surgery Center and switched their insurance away from the UW Health insurance, put even more pressure on the abortion advocates. "We know from the doctors inside the facilities ... that they were losing patients, and that was having an economic impact," said Sande, "that had a strong influence on their decision not to go ahead."
Sande warned that "the other side is very tenacious, and this is just one battle." "I'm sure that they will continue to find, to search for a location, a physician, to accomplish this plan - and obviously we're ever-vigilant," he said. The local pro-abortion lobby reportedly urged the Center to adopt the plan after Dennis Christensen, the primary provider of late-term abortions in Madison, left the area.
Nonetheless, Sande concluded that "Ultimately, this is an answer to prayer. We give all the glory to God."
"This is a great pro-life victory that He has achieved," he said. "Today, May 5, this is a day of celebration. We are declaring victory over this plan."

Women Who Have Abortions Four Times More Likely to Abuse Drugs, Alcohol
Winnipeg, Canada (LifeNews.com) -- A new study conducted by researchers at the University of Manitoba finds women who have had abortions are about four times more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol as those who carried their pregnancy to term. The authors confirmed a link between abortion and the substance abuse issues.
Natalie Mota, a PhD student in the U of M's clinical psychology department, co-wrote the study with authors Margaret Burnett and Jitender Sareen.
The study appeared in the April issue of the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry and it showed women having abortions were 3.8 times more likely to have substance abuse disorders.
That was the case even when other factors such as exposure to violence were included that could have raised the risk outside of abortion.
The Canadian study also found abortion associated with other mental health conditions such as mood disorders, but substance abuse proved to be the strongest link when it comes to post-abortion problems for women.
The study provides more evidence that abortions hurt women as Mota told the newspaper hers was larger than many prior studies showing adverse mental health issues for women following an abortion compared with keeping the baby.
Mota and her colleagues told the Sun they also suggest abortion centers pre-screen women for substance abuse problems prior to abortions. Women who already have struggles with drug and alcohol abuse may see those problems exacerbated by the abortion. Currently, abortion centers typically don't provide such screening or encourage women who struggle with those mental health issues to carry to term.

NY Hospital Apologizes to Nurses Punished for Refusing to Facilitate Abortion
Hospital conscience policy still illegal?

NEW YORK, April 29, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The president of a New York hospital has reversed punishment against eight nurses who refused to take part in an abortion, and has issued an apology to some of them, reported Newsday on Thursday. However, there remains question as to whether the hospital would have persisted in coercing the nurses, in conflict with New York and federal law, had the patient's case been accurately deemed an "emergency situation."
"We erred in our personnel actions, have apologized to several of the nurses and will do so with the others, as well. They did nothing wrong," Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) President Arthur Gianelli said Tuesday.
Gianelli said that the nurses were off the hook because the patient was not actually in a life-threatening situation, despite the fact that the director of perinatal nursing had originally believed that she was. The hospital is reportedly refining a new policy that, in the words of Newsday, "defines more clearly when a health care worker can refuse to take part in a nonemergency procedure. It also says the attending physician must declare and document a medical emergency."
The hospital's current policy on staff's right of refusal to perform or assist in certain health services states that, "NuHealth employees have the right not to perform or assist in Health Services that are contrary to their conscience or religious beliefs."
However, it goes on to state in a section entitled "exceptions," that, "The foregoing provisions do not apply during a medical emergency." It also states: "If an individual's conscience or religious beliefs cannot be reasonably accommodated without undue hardship, NHCC may exclude individuals who object to Health Services from employment in positions for which the performance of such services is a necessary and substantial responsibility."
NUMC confirmed to LifeSiteNews.com (LSN) the accuracy of the Newsday report, but declined to comment when asked about their policy or whether they would force medical staff to participate in abortion in an "emergency situation."
Matt Bowman of the Alliance Defense Fund, however, pointed out that both New York law and federal law "make it illegal for a regulated hospital to force objecting employees in any circumstances to assist abortions. There is no exception letting the hospital sometimes coerce pro-life health professionals when it wants to, such as if the abortion doctor thinks the abortion is necessary."
"The reason these laws don't sometimes allow coercion against pro-life workers is because abortion doctors believe all abortions are medically necessary," Bowman told LSN in an email.
"Abortion itself was illegal shortly before these laws were passed - it is anathema to American religious freedom to think pro-life workers could sometimes be forced to assist abortion," he continued. "Even in high risk pregnancies where delivery is needed, directly killing the child is never needed, and pro-life health workers are always willing to help try to save both mother and child. There's no medical or legal reason to let hospitals force someone to help kill a child."
While refraining from specific comment on Nassau's policy, Bowman noted that, unlike the policy, "The laws I cited don't have exceptions."

I remember reading that after the Americans liberated a concentration camp they marched all the people from the nearby town through the concentration camp. One day the people of Rockford who remained silent to the murder of children that takes place at NIWC will be spiritually marched through that death camp and see the faces of all the murdered children. After the mayor and his wife of that German town were led through the camp they both went home and hung themselves.

What I saw shocked, sickened and hurt me. This web site actually has a brief video of a surgical abortion. The exterior genital area was pixelled, "blurbed", but there was absolutely no mistaking the contents of this minute or so long video clip. It clearly showed EVERYTHING involved in what appeared to be a first or early second trimester surgical abortion. Yes, aborted baby body parts are seen, are very visible, identifiable and the amount of blood visible makes what's seen in a lot video games such as "Doom" or "Mortal Combat" look downright trivial and stupid. I just could NOT eat much of anything else the rest of the evening after watching just a little bit of this video clip. The video clip showed two gloved hands identifying body parts and at one point, the viewer can definitely see a battered, bruised and horribly mashed, bashed baby's face. I sometimes find myself crying whenever the picture of this poor baby comes into my mind; it's so awful. My god, anyone who performs abortions-of ANY kind-KNOWS they are KILLING, as in TERMINATING-the lives of these tiny babies! How can they NOT know; especially after viewing this particular clip. But one thing we must always remember. The children killed by abortion are in heaven. The mothers who have had the truth hidden from them and have been lied to by the abortion mill and have now repented are always forgiven by God.
But the real tragedy are the souls of those in the abortion industry that will spend an eternity in hell (unless they repent) for murdering babies, God's babies, members of our human family.
Those graphic pictures of mutilated tortured children killed by abortion doesn't even begin to show one one billionth of the horror that those souls will experience if they refuse to stop murdering babies.
That is the greatest horror of abortion. The souls of those who kill these children and make the killing possible will spend an eternity experiencing the pain, suffering, and agony they have inflicted on these babies.

I believe they have been murdering babies for 25 years at the present location in Rockford. But in God's time this is nothing. God is eternal.
