Is Christianity a democracy?

As the war on the culture of life wages on one would think so.  Some in society want to recreate God into their own image and likeness.

For example, how many times have you heard someone say “my God would not do this or that; my God would not send someone to hell;  my God is ‘fill in the blank’ “?  Therefore man ends up speaking for God.  Sorry folks, it don’t work that way.  Man is the created being; we are God’s followers, His servants, we are here to do His will.

For over 2000 years His church has taught that God is the creator of all life; God is the original pro-life advocate.  That has not changed, will not change, and cannot change.  Unlike man, God is perfect; therefore His word cannot change-it is Eternal.

Christianity is not a democracy that can be changed with a vote.  The church does not make her decisions based upon public opinion.  Being a Christian means we practice humility; that means we follow God’s will and His ways, not ours.  We must be able to say Lord, not my will but your will be done.  We have already been warned in Scripture not to follow the world’s opinion, as affirmed by Gal 1:8-10  NAB:  ‘For even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel not in accord with the one we delivered to you, let a curse be upon him!  I repeat what I have just said:  If anyone preaches a gospel to you other than the one you received, let a curse be upon him!   Whom would you say I am trying to please at this point-men or God?  Is this how I seek to ingratiate myself with men?  If I were trying to win man’s approval, I would surely not be serving Christ!”

So therefore, if a priest, nun, pastor, layman, or a group within a denomination would make a statement contrary to the established word of God, know that it has no validity.  A statement was recently made by a group within a particular Christian denomination that said  it was a woman’s prerogative to choose to abort her baby.  Make no mistake, God will not be contradicted or mocked.  If God is the creator of all life, and He is, then know that no one could be more pro-life than the creator of all life.  God does not have a split personality; remember, He is the same today as yesterday and all throughout eternity.  God does not create a new soul and send that soul into the world and then allow mankind the so called “right” of killing God’s new creation by abortion.  Anyone thinking this is delusional and totally wrong.  He has a plan, a purpose, a reason for sending this little person into the world. If saying no to God is a sin, and it is, then when God decides that someone will conceive, no matter what the circumstances, then aborting that baby is one of the biggest attacks against God’s will ever.

The purpose of this discussion is not to criticize anyone who has had an abortion.  As believers we know and trust in God’s forgiveness and mercy.  Some of our strongest pro-life advocates are women and men who have lost a child from abortion and who have trusted in God’s forgiveness and love and boldly proclaimed the message of the culture of life.  Right now I am more interested in discussing Christians who, as individuals or a group, can rationalize saying no to God through abortion.

Could there be a tie-in to the problem here?  As I watch television, the nature or so-called science programs and shows about the Bible misrepresenting and attacking the word of God,  it never ceases to amaze me as to  how well orchestrated and planned the attacks against God are in the majority of these shows. It’s the promotion of evolution, i.e. the apes DNA is almost identical to mans, we are all animals, we are discovering new creatures in the sea every day, etc., giving to the young viewer the impression that new life is evolving.  We must remind ourselves that they, the Darwinists, don’t have, won’t have, and never will have their coveted missing link.  And yet, 24/7 they shove it down our throats on television, in our museums, in our books, in our schools, and all of it scientifically baseless.  The old Marxist and Hitler plan of “tell a lie loud enough and long enough and people will believe anything” is in full swing here in America.

We Christians need to go back to our basic Christian teaching and restate the facts.  We need to ask a few questions about our core beliefs and then interiorize the answers into our minds and our hearts.  Questions such as:  Who is God?  Answer:  God is a Supernatural Being, the Creator of all things.  Who made me?  God created me and He made me in His image and likeness so that I could know Him, love Him, and serve Him in this world so that I can be with Him and share in His eternal glory in the next world.  That, my friends, as you already know, is basic Christian belief.  Some don’t like to hear that God is the Father and we are His children, but if we are going to be His followers we must talk the talk and walk the walk; let’s make this commitment to remind ourselves and our families, that God is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  Let us remind ourselves that if God is not the first one we think of when we awake and the last one we think of at bedtime, then we should rethink our priorities; for if we think of anything more than Him,  be it money, job, power or whatever else, then unknowingly we are practicing idolatry.

The world is so full of distractions; I have to take the kids to scouts, that basketball, football, baseball game, catch the six o’clock news, run here, run there, you can see how the world is full of distractions.  Pause for a moment, take a breath, think of the One who gave you life, the One who placed you here on earth at this moment in time and all of eternity so that you could know, love, and serve Him.  If others can see the light of Christ in you and see the love you have for the Father and His Word, then hopefully the world will want the same for themselves.

So, to recap, God is our King, we are here to do His will.  God is the Creator of life and no one has the right to say no to God’s will, because we are human we often fail God by being rebellious and offend Him by sinning.  God has even solved that problem by sending His Son into the world as a means of our forgiveness and our salvation.

Let’s get back to basics:  God first, family second, country third.

In the end we be one of two things, a winner or a loser; eternal glory in Heaven with the Father or eternal damnation in Hell.  Our future is decided in the now; not yesterday, not in tomorrow but in the now.  Lord give us the strength to do your will.

Well written and you have it

Well written and you have it right: Let’s get back to basics: God first, family second, country third.

Your right, we have to put

Your right, we have to put first things first. God, life, family, morality, charity, and country.

All of our problems stem from

All of our problems stem from rejecting the authority of God.

Anyone who has watched

Anyone who has watched national politics closely in the past year and a half has seen a panoply of aggressive political moves that are reported about in hostile terms. There are government "takeovers" of huge industries, public officials "moving against" businesses and individuals, court decisions "striking down" statutes and executive initiatives "attacking" fundamentally sane institutions and plans. Even in times of war, I don't think we have ever had such violent social and political maneuvering in our public life. The worst aspect of it is that all the rapaciousness is directed inward. If we were laying waste the enemies of the innocent citizens of our society in the same way we are consuming our own healthy institutions, how different our public life would be! The current hostile initiatives are nothing of the sort, however. They are essentially demonic takeovers of sacred institutions by the pagans who hold the reins of power. Let me be clear: I am not saying that our public officials are demons. I am saying that they are acting like demons. Demons lie, cheat and steal - obsessively. It is their nature. Once the demons rejected God, they fell into a dark world devoid of love and dominated by the ethic of the survival of the fittest where "might is right". The human beings that serve them act in much the same way when they implement their agendas and policies. Whenever they are in control of institutions or governments, they lie, cheat and steal. In their minds, they are right because they have the might - and to the victors go the spoils. But what did we expect, really? Our nation elected unabashedly pagan representatives who are possessed of a tapestry of unclean ideologies who have an almost religious fervor in advancing their control over greater sectors of our common life and economy. The sad part is that these people who govern us are simply being true to their convictions: before the election, they were not abashed in telling us how radical they are, and now we are reaping the fruits of the demonic agenda of the death and destruction that they have brought with them.

I would despair of this situation had I not met so many decent and God-fearing Americans who do not agree with the mainstreaming of paganism into our culture. I have met the virtuous side of America, and it is to these that I write these words of encouragement: be strong! We must be true to the core Christian principles that made this nation great! Be not afraid of the severe conflicts with the pagan world that we will have to endure in the very near future. We are not alone in this battle. There are many more moral and decent Americans than we realize. It's just that the good ones are busy about raising families and keeping the basic fabric of our society intact. They are not the hedonists and manipulators that strive obsessively to control public discourse and institutions. They are there in the background and form the true foundation of our society.

In time, the proper spiritual leadership will emerge which will bind us together and form us into a fighting force called the Church Militant - the only spiritual force that can truly resist the hostile spiritual takeover of our nation. Let us not forget, however, that we must get down on our knees and beg, plead, and implore God to restore our once-great nation to its grandeur. We will not see the dawn of a renewed nation without prayer and sacrifice. The momentum of righteousness, consisting of all the humble goodness taking place at the grass-roots level of the Church and society, will eventually build, and we will take back our nation - not only at the ballot box but above all in the hearts and minds of all those who love God and are doing their best to love their neighbor. We will then be able to cast out the unclean spirits that are destroying everything that we hold sacred, and society will once again be governed by righteous men. For such an end we place our deepest hope in Christ, our true and only Savior!

Well said one and

Well said one and all................

A psychopath is often

A psychopath is often confused with a sociopath, but the latter is not mentally ill in a medical sense. Sociopaths, being more subtle and even charming, may do more harm to others than someone who is certifiably insane. Sociopaths are so absorbed in themselves that they lack any moral conscience, and blame others for their own failures while taking credit for the accomplishments of others.

Sociopaths are manipulative and intimidating, skilled at bullying others while playing on their affections. They will use others for their own ends, either through flattery or humiliation, and lie without any sense of guilt, becoming vindictive when exposed. Sociopaths can be attractive, until you experience them. The sociopath is the photographic negative of Christ in whom we can see the Father. In the sociopath, we catch a glimpse of the Prince of Lies. The sociopath makes sorrow a contagion, while Christ spreads joy (cf. John 15:11) by giving Himself to us as "grace," which enables us to love.

The sociopath cannot love because he is frozen within himself. The youthful Saul of Tarsus may have been a budding sociopath, destructive in his self-regard, but the Risen Christ changed all that. Sixty percent of the occurrences of the word "joy" in the New Testament are from St. Paul, who did not know its meaning before his conversion. In Greek, joy and grace sound much the same, for hara is nurtured and perfected by haris. St. Paul says (2 Cor. 2:3 ff) that "my joy is the joy of you all," and he urges us to save others from becoming "swallowed up with overmuch sorrow." That word "overmuch" is the craft of the King James translation and needs no updating in our conflicted world. In St. Paul, and in all the saints, is sensed the personality of Christ whom some adored and some scorned, but no one ever found manipulative, and not even His enemies found Him depressing. By following Our Lord as He walks into the cauldron of the earthly Jerusalem, with its rampant pathologies, the Church also walks toward the heavenly Jerusalem, where all is joy because all are looking at God instead of themselves. "Be glad and rejoice for ever and ever for what I am creating, because I now create Jerusalem 'Joy' and her people 'Gladness.' I shall rejoice over Jerusalem and exult in my people. No more will the sound of weeping or the sound of cries be heard in her; in her, no more will be found the infant living a few days only, or the old man not living to the end of his days. To die at the age of a hundred will be dying young; not to live to be a hundred will be the sign of a curse. They will build houses and inhabit them, plant vineyards and eat their fruit" (Isaiah 65:18-21).

The Kingdom of God is the

The Kingdom of God is the only reality worth living and dying for.

Man's Purpose on Earth THINK:

Man's Purpose on Earth

THINK: I was created for eternal happiness with God in Heaven. Everything else must take second place in my life, because if I lose Heaven, I will be losing everything. The sure guide to Heaven is God's holy Will. If I follow it in my daily life, every moment on earth will be a sure step toward the perfect happiness which my heart craves.

Pray: My God and loving Father, grant me the wisdom to think, speak, and act each day as You want me to. May I never be such a fool as to disagree with Your supreme goodness and wisdom. Nothing on earth can bring me any lasting happiness. Therefore, let me never sin for the sake of anything. I want to live for the perfect happiness for which You created me. Amen.
