After 25 years and over 50,000 dead babies, why haven't they given up?
For over 25 years ever single day, with no exceptions, that the Rockford abortion mill has been open to murderGod's children in the womb, pro-lifers have been standing outside to offer love, help, and support to mothers in need.
For every single day of the well over 10,000 days the Northern Illinois Women's Center has been in business to end the lives of children, Christians have been praying for the lives of those children to be spared from a brutal, pain-filled death.
For all the millions of dollars the Rockford abortion mill has made for the men who own and run, it pro-lifers have cheerfully given countless amounts of their time and money to help mothers in need through baby showers, paying rent, gas, and electric bills.
They have helped mothers find jobs and homes. They have bought diapers, formula, cribs, clothes, and car seats. But most of all, they have been open and loving friends for mothers in need.
For all of the grotesque displays mocking God and ridiculing human life put up in the windows or coming over the loud speakers of the abortion mill, these peaceful, pro-life Christians seem to come out in greater numbers to witness to the love of Jesus Christ and dignity of every person.
They just don't seem to give up.
What Kind of People are these Pro-Life Christians who don't ever seem to lose hope or stop loving? Jesus Christ has the answer.
Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit."
Because Christians have worked in union with Jesus Christ, their prayers and presence at the Rockford mill have borne the fruit of saving thousands of babies from the abortionists' deadly hands and saved countless women from a mother's worse nightmare - the death of her child.
Jesus said, "You are the salt of the earth."
Salt preserves life. The prayers and presence of pro-life Christians in Rockford preserve the presence of goodness and life in the heart of a culture of death.
Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden."
In so many ways from lifechains, to Face the Truth tours, to billboards, to prayer services, to web-sites, and in dozens of other ways, Rockford pro-lifers continue to shine the light of Christ, truth, and life on the evil of child-killing at 1400 Broadway.
Jesus said, "Let anyone who thirsts come to me and drink."
Rockford pro-lifers have brought the love of Christ to those thirsting for life. In this long battle against abortion, they have learned that the only place to go to be refreshed, strengthened, and renewed in faith and love is to Jesus Christ. He is our life and our hope.
Jesus said, "Set your mind on God's Kingdom and justice before everything else, and the rest will come to you as well."
Every prayer and action of the Rockford pro-life community is meant to bring justice and love to those who are denied the most basic of human rights.
Jesus said, "Stand up and walk."
Jesus in healing the lame tells them to "stand up and walk." Through loving the unborn in the image of Christ, pro-lifers have seen mothers strengthened to stand on their own - and we have seen their children grow and walk.
Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate, wide is the gate and broad the road tha leads to destruction."
Pro-life work is often difficult and full of disappointments. Christ has taught us to chose the more difficult path that leads to eternal life.
Jesus said, "Happy the servant who's master comes home and finds him at work."
Pro-lifers have learned that overcoming evil takes years of prayer and hard work. We will be at prayer and work, serving our Lord and His people until our Master's return.
Jesus said, "Always treat others as you would like to be treated."
The unborn person in the womb is treated like the slaves were or the Jews in the concentration camp. Pro-lifers are treating them as they must be treated - as daughters and sons of God.
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only those who do the will of my heavenly Father."
Rockford pro-lifers don't just say they support Christ and life.
To the best of their ability, they do the will of God the Father by sharing the suffering and persecutions of "the least of His people."
Jesus said, "Take heart my child, your sins are forgiven."
We have seen and experienced our own sins being forgiven and the sins of those who have repented of abortion washed away by the love of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, "Follow me."
It is the only goal of Rockford Pro-lifers - following Jesus.
Jesus said, "As for you, even the hairs of your head have been counted. Do not be afraid."
God knows every intimate detail about every child who dies in the Rockford abortion mill. The pro-life community of Rockford by it's love comes to know and be a part of the short life of every child who dies in the mill.
We know and love these mothers and children.
Jesus said, "Do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul. Fear him who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell."
The Rockford pro-life community constantly prays for the abortionist, the workers, and the mill owner who stand in danger of losing their souls.
Jesus said, "No one is worthy of me who does not take up his cross and follow me."
After 25 years of struggle against the forces of death that drive abortion at the Northern Illinois Women's Center, we have come to learn that it is the cross of Jesus Christ that is our only hope.
Jesus said, "To receive you is to receive me, and to receive me is to receive the one who sent me."
Whenever we pray or work for the life of one child facing death in Rockford, we are receiving Jesus - eternally.
Jesus said, "Anyone who gives so much as a cup of cold water to one of these little ones will not go unrewarded."
Rockford pro-lifers work desperately to give life to every child facing death in Rockford. Whatever will come of this, we leave in God's hands.
Jesus said, "Happy are the eyes that see and the ears that hear."
Truly happy are human beings when they can see the love God has for them and for every human person.
Jesus said, "Whoever humbles himself and becomes like this child will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
Rockford pro-life Christians have fallen on their knees in trusting prayer for years and will continue to do so in childlike faith.
Jesus said, "See to it that you do not despise these little ones. They have their Angels in heaven who continually look on the face of my heavenly Father."
Pro-lifers join God's Angels in looking with love on all children and all persons in need.
Jesus said, "Many who are first will be last and the last first."
The children who are shamefully killed inside the Northern Illinois Women's Center are the last in this life to receive their rights and protection. In heaven they may well be the first.
Jesus said, "Whoever wants to be great must be a servant."
The pro-life Christians of Rockford imitate their Savior in their willingness to serve those society considers unworthy.
Jesus said, "The stones the builders rejected have become the cornerstone."
The mothers and children rejected and abused by the Rockford abortion establishment have become the cornerstone of many a pro-lifer's heart of love.
Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God will all your mind, all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself."
For a pro-lifer in a city that has killed 50,000 of its own children, it takes a heart, mind, and soul united to Jesus Christ to gain the strength to love our neighbor as we have been loved by God.
Jesus said, "Love one another as I have loved you."
The sidewalks in front of Rockford's killing center have held thousands and thousands of Christians praying for life in the last 25 years. As Christ has shared our suffering by the cross, pro-lifers share Christ's suffering at the "foot of the cross" in Rockford.
Jesus said, "I am the Resurrection and the Life."
Those who die with Christ will also rise with Christ. So many babies have been killed at Rockford's mill by those who mock God, but the faithful love and witness of the pro-life Body of Christ in Rockford has united all those martyred at the mill to Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, "Well done good and faithful servant."
Even though we are unworthy servants, we place our hope in the saving power and love of Jesus Christ.
What you have just read is a small portrait of the pro-life women, men, and children of Rockford who have stood at the gates of the hell of abortion in Rockford. In so many ways and so many places, they have been the hands and heart of Christ to His suffering children.
May God bless them forever.

Tue, 05/18/2010 - 7:55pm — Judith B (not verified)Over the years I wonder how many lives and souls have been saved from the gates of hell of abortion in Rockford because Christians have stood at those gates of hell in prayer and love?

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 8:09am — Rebecca (not verified)Judith,
Over the years people praying and sidewalk counseling at the nightmare on Broadway has saved hundered and hundreds of lives at the doors of the killing center.
And as another story posted on this sight shows hundreds perhaps thousands of innocent babies have been saved by the prayers of people from all over this area.
This is truly beautiful.
Wed, 05/19/2010 - 8:16am — J Sculley (not verified)This is truly beautiful. Every prolife person should be encourged by this. I think I've read it five times it's so full of faith, hope and love. Every prolifer should send this to those on their email list.

Heaven will be the reward for
Wed, 05/19/2010 - 10:56am — Bob (not verified)Heaven will be the reward for those who love Christ and defend His babies from death at this abomination of a clinic in Rockford. But what will that home be like? Because of our limited understanding no amount of description can provide a true picture of heaven. Men have tried to describe heaven as both a place and a state of being. But as Scripture tells us heaven is so wonderfully beyond our imagination that, "No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love Him". 1st Cor 2:9. We know little about the place Scripture calls, "our true home" 1st Peter 1:4, except that it's a place of perfect, unending happiness, life, peace, joy and love. Heaven is a place of no sorrow, no fear, no mourning, and God will wipe away all tears from our eyes, all thing are new and glorious, all love one another with a perfect love.
Think of the happiest moment of your life, when you truly loved and knew you were loved. Then multiply it by a billion and you still don't have an idea of the eternal love and joy of being with God forever. What this perfect life will be like we leave to the goodness and love of God. The real question is how do we get there? Matthew 25 gives us a clue, "What ever you do for the least of my people you do for me". It is love that opens our heart and soul to heaven. God is love and to live with God for all eternity we must become, or at least be on the way to becoming love ourselves. And the only way we can do this is through Jesus Christ. Jesus has shown us the way, Jesus has given us the grace, Jesus has opened the gates of heaven for us through His life, death, and resurrection. It is up to us now to join our life to His. We must try to love as He loves, putting the Fathers will before our own, always working for what is best for our neighbor, putting their needs before our own.
Daily, moment to moment we have an interior battle to fight against pride, against our fallen human nature. We are made to live in heaven forever and if we live in love in our heart, mind, and soul and this love is expressed by the way we live our life, Jesus has promised us a place with Him in Heaven for all eternity. So when the difficulties and struggles of life get to you. If you ever think that NIWC will kill another 50,000 children. When you are tempted by the world, the flesh or your own pride and vanity. Remember the love God has for you. Life and this world will not always be easy, but the peace and love Jesus Christ gives, both here and forever is the only real peace and love there is. So have courage, endure and love God and your neighbor to the end. Then the place that, "No eye has seen, and no ear has heard, and no heart has conceived", will be yours in the love of God our Father for all eternity.

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 12:44pm — Truth B Told (not verified)You have put it so clearly what and who the pro-life community of Rockford is, conversely, what and who the death dealers of Rockford are. Every person will receive their eternal recompense in their immortal soul, from the moment of their death, from Jesus Christ the judge of the living and the dead. The defenders of life will receive eternal life - the promoters of death will receive what they have done to others, and they will receive it for all eternity.
Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. (But) even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you." Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise." Martha said to him, "I know he will rise, in the resurrection on the last day." Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" She said to him, "Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who is coming into the world." The Gospel of John 11:25

This is what many pro-lifers have to deal with.
Pro-aborts choose death for babies, death for their own souls, and respond in hate and violence toward others. Just look at the Rockford mill.

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 4:39pm — Michael Vincent (not verified)So you ask "what kind of people are these Rockford pro-lifers?"
The kind of people who would stand in the rain, snow, and summer heat to save a child from being butchered inside an abortion mill that has placed a rubber chicken on a cross.
The kind of people who love mothers, children, and even pray for the abortionist, the mill staff, and landlord.
The kind of people who love God and trust God will give justice to those murdered and heal and forgive those who repent.
The kind of people who make Jesus Christ present in this world.

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 6:30pm — Anthony (not verified)This is what one of the Saints had to say about his duty to preach the truth. This seems to be the spirit of many Rockford Christians concerning abortion. At any cost I must discharge the ministry I have received from God Our Lord, which is to preach the Gospel... I have no worldly end in view, but... that God may be known, loved and served by all the world... that sins and offenses against Him may be hindered as much as possible... Another thing that spurs me on to preach ceaselessly is the thought of the multitude of souls which fall in the depths of hell... Who die in mortal sin, condemned forever and ever... I see how many live habitually in mortal sin, so that never a day passes without increasing the number of their iniquities. They commit sin as easily as they drink a glass of water, just for diversion, or for a laugh. These unfortunate ones run to hell of their own accord, blind as bats... If you were to see a blind man about to fall into a pit or over a precipice, would you not warn him? Behold, I do the same, and do it I must for this is my duty... You may tell me that sinners will insult me, that I should leave them alone... Ah no, I can't abandon them. They are my dear brothers.
If you had a beloved brother who, sick and in the throes of delirium, were to insult you with all the angry words imaginable, would you abandon him? I am certain you wouldn't. You would have even more compassion for him, do your utmost for his speedy recovery. This is how I feel in regard to sinners. These poor souls are in a delirium and the more in need of our pity... You may say the sinner doesn't think of hell, nor even believe in it. So much the worse for him. Do you by chance think he will escape condemnation because of his unbelief? Truth is independent of belief... I must warn sinners and make them see the precipice which leads to the unquenchable fires of hell, for they will surely go there if they do not amend their ways.
Woe to me if I do not preach and warn them, for I would be held responsible for their condemnation... How often I pray, with St. Catherine of Siena: 'O my God, grant me a place by the gates of hell, that I may stop those who enter there saying: Where are you going, unhappy one? Back, go back! Make a good confession. Save your soul. Don't come here to be lost for all eternity!" Further he boldly proclaimed: "The sole reason why society is perishing is because it has refused to hear the word of the Church, which is the word of life, the word of God. All plans for salvation will be sterile if the great word of the Catholic Church is not restored in all its fullness."

A widely employed and
Fri, 05/21/2010 - 11:22am — Thank you Pro-lifers (not verified)A widely employed and accepted euphemism in today's USA, is calling legalized Abortion, "Freedom of choice." Pro-abortion politicians declare support for "A woman's 'Right to Choose," without having to complete that statement. It goes without saying, it means "The Right to Choose to kill a pre-born baby." But that would sound too graphic. "Freedom of Choice: therefore, has virtually replaced the actual, God-given, Constitutionally guaranteed "Right-to-Life," in the Liberal and democratic Parties Platforms, (without even being mentioned in the "Bill of Rights.") It's baffling therefore, that the same Liberal mentality supports the "Obama Health Care Bill." This Bill not only ignores all aspects of "Freedom of Choice," in matters of Health Care, for States, Industries, and individuals, but actually imposes legal penalties on those who would choose a different, though Constitutionally legal, course of action.
Thus "Freedom of Choice" is revealed to be what it really is, a mere euphemism to be used for subterfuge when it suits the Liberal agenda, and ignored when it doesn't. Only when U.S. voters "get back to basics" and demand and support actual God-given, Constitutional rights, will we cease to be manipulated by politicians, whose anti-Constitution agenda, seriously threatens the future of the US.
