On Friday May 14, an estimated 16 children died inside the Rockford abortion mill.  This morning saw a large percentage of African-American and Hispanic children being taken into the abortion mill.
As the founder of the American abortion movement Margaret Sanger said in her book, Pivot of Civilization,  concerning  blacks, immigrants, and the poor: "...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born."  We have seen the abortion industry around the country targeting minorities.

Sadly, today in Rockford that targeting seemed to pay off.

A heartbreaking scene occurred this morning as a young woman was inside the mill for an abortion.  She had had a disagreement recently with her boyfriend and thought she was alone.  She was scared and scheduled an abortion.

When her good friend and the baby's father found out this morning she was in the mill for an abortion, they  frantically and tearfully tried to see and reassure her that they loved her and would help her.

Both the friend and the father ran into a wall of silence in the mill, and the staff wouldn't even tell the mother she had people who desperately want to help and love her.  The mother went through the abortion, thinking she was abandoned and alone.

"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you."   John 14:16-17

More than two dozen Christians prayed throughout the morning. One young couple who was unsure about their scheduled abortion sat talking in their car in the mill parking lot.  They also listened to a sidewalk counselor who spoke to them about the love of God, the life of their child, and the help available to them.  The couple also heard the words of a woman who had had an abortion at this facility many years ago and how it had harmed her in so many ways.

The couple never entered the mill; they left and did not return.

It was a morning that exposed the tragedy of abortion in Rockford but also the power of Christ and life.

On Wednesday May 19, an estimated 21 babies were killed inside the Northern Illinois Women's Center.  It was a busy day for the culture of death at Rockford's abortion mill with the killing of over twenty children in the womb.  The reason the killing center was so busy today is we have found out they will be closed this Friday May 21.

Pro-lifers began arriving before 7:00 am to pray and offer help to the young women coming to the mill.  Many Christians came to pray and witness to life throughout the morning, and some even stayed to offer love and help to mothers when they left the mill later in the day.

As we have been so blessed to report to you many times in the past,  the power of prayer and Christian love played a part in the saving of at least one child's life this morning.

In many cases we cannot share the details of what happened because of privacy reasons.  We can let you know that mom said no to her appointment with death, and as mother and baby drove away this morning, the smile on mom's face and her happy wave of the hand could be seen by all.

Go Into The Whole World And Proclaim the Good News

"The word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

On Wednesday June 9, 2010 from 7:00 -11:00am Christians from throughout Rockford will read aloud all fours Gospels of our Lord Jesus Christ at Rockford's abortion mill, 1400 Broadway.

Jesus Christ is the "good news" all the world needs.  No place in our world needs this "good news" more than Rockford's abortion mill.
A place where over 50,000 human beings have been intentionally killed and God is mocked every day.

Beginning with the Gospel of Matthew we will read aloud the "good news" of our Savior Jesus Christ contained in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John on the sidewalk in front of Rockford's abortion mill as our prayer of faith and hope to bring about repentance and an end to abortion in our city.

Please contact Sue Richards at  815-963-6340 to sign up for a 15 minute time slot to read or support in prayer the reading of the New Testament.

All are welcome and encouraged to come at any time this morning to listen to the word of God being faithfully proclaimed at the "Foot of the Cross" in our city, Rockford's abortion mill.

TLC Singer Chilli Describes Abortion Grief: 'I Cried Almost Every Day for 9 Years'
By Kathleen Gilbert
NEW YORK, May 14, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas, better known as a member of the successful 1990s hip-hop trio TLC, has joined a growing number of women and men who have come forward with horrendous stories of post-abortion grief. In a recent interview, the singer revealed that an abortion that she got when she was 20 years old “broke my spirit,” and robbed her of her "strong self."

The singer discussed her abortion on the May 9 episode of the VH1 reality TV series "What Chilli Wants," which follows the singer as she seeks help to establish a long-lasting relationship. Prompted to discuss her first relationship, with producer Dallas Austin, Thomas recounted her emotions upon realizing that she was pregnant for the first time at 20 years old.

"I didn't have the support, and so I was so scared and didn't know what to do," she said, "and chose to not have it (the baby) - one of the biggest mistakes."

Far from an empowering option, the singer said the abortion seemed forced upon her by her budding career – and that it was a choice she didn't really want to make. "I'm 20, my career hadn't even really started, you know, so how do I do all that? How do I be a mommy?" she recalled. "It messed me up. I don't know - it broke my spirit."

She continued, through tears: "I feel like I became, I don't know - kind of like, not my strong self anymore. I feel like I gave in and I broke to what someone else wanted.

"And I would break down and I would just cry - because I wasn't a mommy. I cried almost every day for almost nine years."
Thomas said that she eventually pursued the one way she felt she could "fix" the abortion - by having another child by the same man. The relationship later disintegrated.

Georgette Fourney of Silent No More Awareness, a group dedicated to raising awareness of post-abortion grief, said that Thomas' story is a common one, and that more and more women are stepping forward to tell their own stories.

"I think it's time," Fourney told LifeSiteNews.com. "It's almost like what's happening is that the reality of what the last 50 years of the sexual revolution - the havoc it's wreaked on women - women are starting to realize."

"Real feminism says that we can be women, and we can embrace our femininity, and we can say no to people taking advantage of our sexuality," said Fourney, who sympathized with Thomas' statement that the abortion robbed her of strength.

"People are waking up to the fact that abortion does not empower women, but undermines them, and women are much stronger and they don't need the weak solution of abortion," she said. "That's exactly what we're telling people - is that abortion doesn't empower you, it's the opposite, it takes the strength away from you."

Abortion, Gay ‘Marriage’ among the Most ‘Insidious and Dangerous’ Challenges: Pope
By Hilary White
FATIMA, Portugal, May 14, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In an address to assembled social and pastoral care workers in Fatima, Portugal yesterday, Pope Benedict identified abortion and the pressure for gay “marriage” as among the most “insidious and dangerous challenges that today confront the common good,” and expressed his “deep appreciation” for those who fight for the rights of the unborn.

Benedict hailed “all those social and pastoral initiatives” that combat the “socio-economic and cultural mechanisms which lead to abortion, and are openly concerned to defend life and to promote the reconciliation and healing of those harmed by the tragedy of abortion.”

These “initiatives aimed at protecting the essential and primary values of life, beginning at conception, and of the family based on the indissoluble marriage between a man and a woman, help to respond to some of today’s most insidious and dangerous threats to the common good.
“Such initiatives represent, alongside numerous other forms of commitment, essential elements in the building of the civilization of love.”

In the address following a huge open-air Mass at the famous shrine of the Fatima apparitions, the pope highlighted current social trends that present “a scenario of socio-economic, cultural and spiritual crisis, which highlights the need for a discernment” guided by the Church’s social teaching.”

He said that Catholic social agencies, such as the British and some American Catholic adoption agencies, must fight these trends to maintain a true Christian identity in the face of ideological pressure from the “prevailing culture.” This culture “constantly holds up a lifestyle based on the law of the stronger, on easy and attractive gain,” he said.

Such trends risk “emptying” social works of “the motivation of faith and Christian hope which had originally inspired them.”

The “guiding principles” of Catholic social agencies, he said, “need to be clear, so that they can be clearly identifiable by the inspiration of their aims, in the choice of their human resources, in their methods of operation, in the quality of their services, and in the serious and effective management of their means.”

He called it “a fundamental step” to ensure that such organisations are “ranted autonomy and independence from politics and ideologies.”
Portugal’s President Anibal Cavaco Silva is expected to sign a law, passed by parliament in February, creating “gay marriage” in the country. If he signs on May 17, the country would become the sixth country in Europe to allow same-sex “marriages,” after Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Norway.
