Announcement: Prayer Event At The Mill
Go Into The Whole World And Proclaim the Good News.
"The word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11
On Wednesday June 9, 2010 from 7:00 -11:00am Christians from throughout Rockford will read aloud all fours Gospels of our Lord Jesus Christ at Rockford's abortion mill, 1400 Broadway.
A place where over 50,000 human beings have been intentionally killed and God is mocked every day.
Beginning with the Gospel of Matthew we will read aloud the "good news" of our Savior Jesus Christ contained in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John on the sidewalk in front of Rockford's abortion mill as our prayer of faith and hope to bring about repentance and an end to abortion in our city.
All are welcome and encouraged to come at any time this morning to listen to the word of God being faithfully proclaimed at the "Foot of the Cross" in our city, Rockford's abortion mill.

Thu, 05/20/2010 - 12:32pm — Becca (not verified)This is a powerful idea to bring the word of God to the house of death. For 2000 years bad governments, morally corrupt people, and demonic systems like abortion have all thought they can destroy the word of the Lord. Those goverments, people, and evil systems are gone - the word of God remains! If I can get off work I'll be there.
Wow! Whoever thought of this
Thu, 05/20/2010 - 12:41pm — Marcus (not verified)Wow! Whoever thought of this is amazing. This is needed down there big-time. Expect to shake things up inside the Mill of Horrors, they will not be happy - because satan will not be happy. It does not say who to contact so do we contact Pro Life Corner? A few thoughts on this Prayer
Thu, 05/20/2010 - 2:54pm — Michael Vincent (not verified)A few thoughts on this Prayer event from the Catechism:
In order to reveal himself to men, in the condescension of his goodness God speaks to them in human words: "Indeed the words of God, expressed in the words of men, are in every way like human language, just as the Word of the eternal Father, when he took on himself the flesh of human weakness, became like men."
Through all the words of Sacred Scripture, God speaks only one single Word, his one Utterance in whom he expresses himself completely:
You recall that one and the same Word of God extends throughout Scripture, that it is one and the same Utterance that resounds in the mouths of all the sacred writers, since he who was in the beginning God with God has no need of separate syllables; for he is not subject to time.
For this reason, the Church has always venerated the Scriptures as she venerates the Lord's Body. She never ceases to present to the faithful the bread of life, taken from the one table of God's Word and Christ's Body.
In Sacred Scripture, the Church constantly finds her nourishment and her strength, for she welcomes it not as a human word, "but as what it really is, the word of God". "In the sacred books, the Father who is in heaven comes lovingly to meet his children, and talks with them."
Prayer is helplessness
Fri, 05/21/2010 - 8:26pm — Denise (not verified)Prayer is helplessness casting itself on Power, infirmity leaning on Strength, misery reaching to Mercy, and a prisoner clamoring for Relief.” –Fulton J Sheen Only the Lord can and will end abortion. This is a blessed idea and only good will come from it.
PRAY: Lord, what You say is
Sat, 05/22/2010 - 3:22am — Anonymous (not verified)PRAY: Lord, what You say is true. Grant that I may follow Your words in my daily life. Your truth shall teach me, guide me, and protect me. May it deliver me from all evil desires and foolish love. Let me esteem nothing as great, or valuable, or wonderful, except insofar as it makes me better and more pleasing in Your eyes. In this way I shall never be a slave of this earth, but shall walk daily towards Heaven with a holy freedom of heart. Amen.
"I am the Bread of Life. He
Sat, 05/22/2010 - 12:31pm — Lou (not verified)"I am the Bread of Life. He who eats this bread will live forever. I will raise Him up on the last day." The Eucharistic sacrifice is the very action of Christ by which He destroyed our death and restored our life. Whenever we gather for this sacrifice we are celebrating the victory of life over death, and therefore over abortion.
The pro-life movement is not simply working "for" victory; we are working "from" victory. As the Holy Father said in Denver in 1993, "Have no fear. The outcome of the battle for life is already decided." Our work is to apply the already established victory to every facet of our society. Reading the word of God at the gates of this abortion mill is a Holy Spirit filled way of making this allready won victory present.
From the Word of God that
Sun, 05/23/2010 - 8:19am — Judy (not verified)From the Word of God that will be proclaimed in all it's fullness on June 9th. "And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only-begotten Son, full of grace and truth." The word of life to combat the powers of death outside the killing center.
