What Christ Has Done For Us

What Christ Has Done For Us, We Must Do For the Unborn Of Rockford
Christ came to save mankind that lay helpless under the power of sin and death.
Children in the womb lay helpless under the power of the Rockford abortion mill and the culture of death.

 By James
Rockford IL, June 19, 2010 - A Holocaust has taken place over the last 25 years at the Rockford abortion mill.  Tens and tens of thousands of children have been murdered in their mothers' wombs, and the killing continues every week.  At times it seems as if there is no end in sight to the slaughter of these innocent pre-born children.

Mankind wounded by sin in many ways was in the same position as an unborn child in the womb.  Because of the sins of others, our first parents Adam and Eve, we were under a death sentence also.  It was an eternal death sentence caused by the self-willed sin of mankind.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."  John 3:16

Mankind in history, just as children in the womb today, does not have the ability to save itself.  God our loving Father out of the pure goodness and love of Who He is came to earth to save us from our sins.
As the Nicene Creed says: "For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit, He became incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and was made man."

The Second Person of the Blessed Trinity chose to be like us, take upon Himself our nature, in order that we may be saved from sin if we live a life of faith in Him.

Mankind was lost until the love of God became physically present and united Himself to us
The children of God who are brought helplessly to the Northern Illinois Women's Center physical lives are brutally, viciously, and painfully lost unless we are willing to unite ourselves to these children and share their burden and suffering.
That someone to " take up the cross" of the pre-born of Rockford facing death must be the Christians of Rockford

As Christ has saved us by uniting His divine life to our earthly lives, so we must unite our Christian faith and lives to the suffering children who die, rejected by our secular culture at Rockford's abortion mill.

In what ways did Jesus love and save us and how can we, as Galatians 3:27 says, "put on Christ" and act in the person of Jesus by loving and uniting our lives with Rockford's persecuted children in the womb?

The Word became Flesh for us in order to save us by reconciling us with God, who "loved us and sent His Son to be the expiation for our sins": "the Father has sent His Son as the Savior of the world", and "He was revealed to take away sins."
The first thing we Christians must do is live reconciled to God ourselves.
Then through our patient and humble prayer and love for the unborn, we must reconcile our city to the fact that every person is created in the image and likeness of God.
Every person killed inside the Rockford abortion mill is our sister or brother.
Then we must to the best of our ability act toward these children as Christ has acted toward us.

Jesus left the joy of heaven to save us from our sins - we must leave the comfort of our homes to defend Christ in the unborn.

Jesus was born in a cold stable - we must bear the coldness of heart of those who reject and persecute children in the womb.

Jesus and His family fled as refugees to Egypt as Herod tried to kill Him - we must be present to love and help children who are taken as refugees, rejected from the home of their mothers' wombs, to be killed inside the Rockford abortion mill.

Jesus was lied about and plotted against - Christians in defense of the unborn must bear the lying and plotting of the abortion industry.

Jesus was constantly in prayer for love of us - we must constantly pray for the lives of the unborn.

Jesus shared our human condition by standing with us - we must share the life and helpless condition of the unborn by publicly standing with them.

Jesus was persecuted for defending us - we must be willing to suffer persecution for children facing death.

Jesus told us that He has counted every hair on our head - we must never allow even one child be to be taken into the abortion mill without our recognizing his humanity and counting him worthy as a person and child of God.

Jesus stood with the outcast, the poor, lame, and rejected of society - no one in our city is poorer, more defenseless, rejected, and helpless than a child taken to the Northern Illinois Women's Center.
We must always be willing to stand with the unborn and take their sufferings into our own hearts and lives.

The Word became Flesh so that we might know God's love: "In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him." "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
By our physical presence at the place of death in Rockford, we are a spiritual force that mystically and eternally lets every child who dies in the Rockford abortion mill know he has been loved in this life.
By our prayer at home, Church, school, or office for our sisters and brothers facing death at Rockford's abortion mill, we are putting flesh on our love for the children who will be murdered in Rockford.

The Word became Flesh to be our Model of holiness: "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me." "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the lfe; no one comes to the Father, but by Me.” On the mountain of the Transfiguration, the Father commands: "Listen to Him!" Jesus is the Model for the Beatitudes and the Norm of the new law: "Love one another as I have loved you.” This love implies an effective offering of oneself, after His example.
As Christ came out of the perfect joy of Heaven to share our human condition, we must come out of the comfort of our homes and Churches to share the suffering and persecuted condition of those being murdered at the Northern Illinois Women's Center.

The Word became Flesh to make us "partakers of the Divine Nature": "For this is why the Word became Man, and the Son of God became the Son of Man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine Sonship, might become a son of God." "For the Son of God became Man so that we might become God." "The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in His divinity, assumed our nature, so that He, made Man, might make men gods."
As Jesus took upon the Flesh of mankind in order to make us like Him, we must take upon ourselves and into our hearts the humanity of the unborn child so the world will see each is one of us.

At Rockford's abortion mill Satan has been murdering children and destroying souls by the thousands.  Jesus Christ who is "The Way, the Truth, and the Life," is our only answer to this evil.

Sin, Satan, and death have seemingly had their way over the people and especially the children of Rockford, but the evil ones will fall back into the hell from where they came if only we followers of Jesus Christ will begin to do for the persecuted children facing death in Rockford what Jesus Christ did for us when we were under a death sentence.

If we, the Christians of Rockford, take up our responsibility to love and protect the children of our city the way Jesus loves and protects us, these babies in the womb will no longer be the "children of the damned", but through the transforming grace of Jesus Christ made present through the Christians of Rockford, they will become the "children of paradise."

Very well thought through and

Very well thought through and very true.

When we act toward our

When we act toward our neighbor as Jesus acts toward us we find who we are. God bless all of you who defend the lives of innocent children.

Happy fathers day, James. God

Happy fathers day, James. God bless you for offering this article.

When I first looked at this I

When I first looked at this I thought it was to long so I didn't read it. But then I came back to it later and just read it. Fantastic article showing again why being pro-life is the most important work in this world. If every person in Rockford read this, that house of sin, satan, and death on Broadway would close in an instant.

James, your writing clearly

James, your writing clearly shows that God is the sovereign master of his plan. But to carry it out he also makes use of his creatures' co-operation. This use is not a sign of weakness, but rather a token of almighty God's greatness and goodness. For God grants his creatures not only their existence, but also the dignity of acting on their own... and thus of co-operating in the accomplishment of his plan. To human beings God even gives the power of freely sharing in His providence by entrusting them with the responsibility of "subduing" evil that is so clearly at work at the Rockford's abortion mill.

God thus enables men to be intelligent and free causes in order to complete the work of creation, to perfect its harmony for their own good and that of their neighbours. Though often unconscious collaborators with God's will, they can also enter deliberately into the divine plan by their actions, their prayers and their sufferings. They then fully become "God's fellow workers" and co-workers for his kingdom. The truth that God is at work in all the actions of his creatures is inseparable from faith in God the Creator. God is the first cause who operates in and through secondary causes: "For God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure."

"He who desires and loves

"He who desires and loves nothing but Jesus is the richest and happiest of men". St. Alphonsus

"Jesus dwells within you, and there you should dwell with Him." St. Teresa of Avila

"He who trusts in himself is lost. He who trusts in Jesus can do all things". St. Alphonsus

"In the measure you love and desire Jesus, you will find Him". St. Teresa of Avila

"Jesus gave Himself to you: give yourself to Jesus." Blessed Robert Southwell

"We always find that those who walked closest to Christ were those who had to bear the greatest trials." St. Teresa of Avila

Jesus was praying in

Jesus was praying in solitude, and the disciples were with him, he asked them, "Who do the crowds say that I am?" They said in reply, "John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, 'One of the ancient prophets has arisen.'" Then he said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"

Answering this question correctly my friends is the key to life here and eternal life. We all know what those at the Rockford mill think of God - they have reaped the wind of evil and in eternity they will sew the whirlwind. (we can pray that they repent and be forgiven) To all of you who are open to love, truth, reason, and faith I pray we can through the grace and presence of the Holy Spirit answer as Peter did. Peter said in reply, "The Messiah of God."

Here are ten more reasons

Here are ten more reasons from the bible that show God is PRO-LIFE

1. God created life, making man in His own image and likeness to rule over the rest of creation. (Genesis 1:26-28)

2. God loves and cares for human life, including the pre-born, transferring His image to them. (Psalm 139)

3. Jesus, in His incarnation, identified fully with humanity, sanctifying conception through His participation in it. (Hebrews 2:14)

4. Man was made to live forever. Death is the result of, and the punishment for, sin, and was never offered by God as a solution to problems. (Genesis 2:15-17)

5. Human life is precious to God. Its wanton destruction is forbidden by God and invites His wrath. (Genesis 9:5-6; Revelation 21:8)

6. Child sacrifice is particularly abhorrent to God, combining the shedding of innocent blood and idolatry. (Psalm 106:37-38)

7. Man is commanded by God to reflect His view of human life by protecting it from wanton destruction. (Proverbs 24:11-12)

8. Man is obligated to use law to reflect God's love and justice, providing alternatives to the destruction of human life. (Jeremiah 22:1-3; Matthew 22:37-40)

9. Children are a gift from God for blessing the family, the Church and the world. (Psalm 127 and Psalm 128)

10. God is in control of the "hard cases," using them for our good and His glory. (Exodus 4:10-12; Isaiah 45:9-12; John 9:11-13)

Ed: Thankyou!

Lord Jesus Christ, we believe

Lord Jesus Christ, we believe in You as our God and Savior. Make us more faithful to Your Gospel by sharing in your love for all the mothers in trouble and children in danger at Rockford's abortion mill.

May we come to live more fully the life of grace You have given us. Keep Your love alive in our hearts that we may become worthy of You. Teach us to value Your gifts and ever be grateful for them. Help us to strive to protect the babies facing death in Rockford. Amen

Pat, excellent post. You

Pat, excellent post. You might like this "Top Ten" list also. If we keep praying the evil at the concentration camp for babies in the womb on Broadway will close because the truth of Jesus Christ will be lived in the hearts of all Christians.

Basic Truths About Jesus Christ

1. Jesus is the only Son of God: Mary was Jesus' human mother, but the First Person of the Blessed Trinity is Jesus' Father. Jesus is God the Fathers only begotten Son, we are God's adopted children.

2. Jesus is true God: "God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God." Like the Father, the Son posses a divine nature. Proceeding from the Father, the Son is of one substance with the Father.

3. Jesus is "begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father.": The always existing Son "proceeds" from the Father. The Son was not made by the Father but is of the same nature. The Father has always been Father and the Son has has always been the Son.

4. All things were made through the Son: The Son always existed with the Father and shares His nature. Thus, He also shares in the creation of the world.

5. There is only one person in Christ, the divine person: This person is the second person of the Blessed Trinity. Jesus is 100% God and 100% human in one divine person.

6. There are two distinct natures in the one divine person of Christ: Jesus has a divine nature and a human nature. He is perfect in His divinity and perfect in His humanity. Jesus Christ is true God and true man.

7. Jesus has a human intellect and a human will: However, Jesus' human intellect and human will are perfectly attuned, obey and are subject to His divine intellect and divine will.

8. Jesus has a divine intellect and a divine will: Both of these He shares in common with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.

9. In Jesus, God truly shared our humanity: The human and divine natures in the one one person of Jesus are so perfectly united that it is right to say that the incarnate Son of of God truly became man, was born, lived, suffered, died, and rose from the dead for us.

10. Mary is truly the Mother of God: Christians from the very first years of the Church have honored Mary with this title with the primary purpose being confirming the divinity of her Son. Although Mary is the Mother of God, she is not his mother in the sense that she is older than God or the source of her Son's divinity, for she is neither. Rather, we say that she is the Mother of God in the sense that she carried in her womb a divine person, Jesus Christ, God "in the flesh" (2 John 7, John 1:14) and in the sense that she contributed the genetic matter to the human form God took in Jesus Christ.

This part of the story above

This part of the story above should be engrained in the heart of every Christian.

Keep up your good work. All

Keep up your good work. All of you pro-lifers no matter what part you are playing in the battle against the murder of persons in the womb you are living the virtues of faith, hope, and love. God bless you.

Jesus said, "Do not be afraid

Jesus said, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

The God hating - baby killing reprobates at the Rockford mill think they win with the death of every child...they only fool themselves and stoke the fires of hell even hotter. We need not fear them, but we should fear our own lack of love and concern for Christ in the unborn facing death in Rockford RIGHT NOW. Pray, work, fast, sacrifice, for life... then don't worry, we are all in God's hands. Pax

Throughout history, men have

Throughout history, men have been faced with difficult choices in a world that makes it easy for them to conform. From slavery, to war, to nazi Germany the "easy" thing to do is to go along silently.

Thank you pro-life corner for not being silent.
