A plague be upon us.
If I were on the outskirts of your city and saw a tornado touch down and it started towards the center of town, should I warn the police to put out a take shelter warning? Of course I should.

In the time of Moses God sent out His angel of death to punish the wicked nation of Egypt, who enslaved God’s people the Jews for over 400 years. The angel traveled through this wicked nation and touched only certain households. Death and then anguish affected only certain homes, leaving others untouched. The homes that were protected by the blood of the lamb were saved. The blood of the lamb was a precursor to the Blood of Christ, who is the Lamb of God. Like a tornado can go through a city and affect some homes and leave others standing. Like when God punished a wicked nation some homes were affected and others were not. Like the plague in Moses’ time, there is a plague of death that has descended upon our once great nation; this now wicked nation called America. This plague of abortion on demand, too, is driven by a spirit but not the spirit of God. This spirit is demonic; a spirit empowered by a wicked people who empowered evil politicians and judges. Like the plague in the time of Moses only certain homes are affected. Instead of the first born male, this plague affects only females. Some homes are affected, some are not. Like in the time of Moses, when a first born son died, all in the family felt the pain and the loss of that individual. In this plague of abortion the mother often says “it’s my body, my choice”, but she’s only trying to fool herself. Her choice affects the whole household and into the community.
This demon-led plague delights in the spreading of this pain, this anguish into our homes and into our nation. Unlike in the time of Moses when the angel of death was sent to punish the wicked government to get them to stop the enslavement of the Jews and to repent, this plague is designed by demons empowered by man for the purpose of saying no to God and to reject His gift of life; to bring pain into our homes, anguish, despair, suicidal thoughts, and drug and alcohol abuse. Those symptoms can and do happen to the mother, father, grandparents, brothers, sisters, etc. when a woman has an abortion. This so-called “choice” by the mother affects so many others.
Dear reader, this plague is killing the very heart and life of our families and our nation. No one can go back, no one can change the past; if you or a loved one has had an abortion and are struggling with the above symptoms, seek professional help from a Christian counselor or a good pro-life pastor or priest. Remember the blood of the lamb that saved the people of God who followed His plan and used the blood of the lamb in the time of Moses. It’s no different now. We have the sacrificial Blood of Christ that saves. Open your homes to the Lamb of God. We make time for sports and other activities as a family; then let’s make time for prayer as a family. “The family that prays together stays together.” Parents, talk to your children. If you have a young daughter, tell her if she makes a mistake and gets pregnant, don’t listen to the world and have an abortion. This will only bring on a lifetime of regrets. Tell her you will be there for her if she will only come to you and allow you to help. If you have a son, tell him the same but also tell him the role of a real man is to protect womanhood and hopefully he would not get a young lady pregnant in the first place. But if he does, then it’s his responsibility, as the man, to protect life; the life he helped create, the life he must protect and allow that life to come to full term. If he is unable to bring that child up himself, then place the baby into the hands of adoptive parents.
Only through the Blood of the Lamb will we ever stop this plague of abortion that has descended upon this nation and our community.
From the hand of God and with God-fearing leaders, this nation stopped the plague of slavery. Through the power of the Spirit, may we turn our own lives back to God. Father, we place our families, our political leaders starting with local politicians on up to the White House, under Your care. Father, help us to turn away from the culture of death and back to the culture of life.

Editor: Dear Sister R.: I think when someone makes such a broad statement as "you need to look at the entire picture/issue/Health Care Bill" they are sadly ill-informed. Or they're trying to take you off in some misleading direction. We have looked at the picture from all sides, many of us for over 30 years. It has become our mission in life to protect life at all stages. I assure you we weigh arguments from both sides very carefully. Here are some of our conclusions:
If you do not have life you do not need to worry about health care or any other issue. The liberal solution is to kill the life of the baby and physically, mentally, and spiritually wound the mother. A bad "choice".
They use the metaphor of the entire picture; this is a no-brainer! You would have to be subhuman to look at a picture of a beautiful baby, especially in the loving arms of the mother, and then look at a picture of an aborted baby, i.e. the product of the mill right here in Rockford. A body mutilated and ripped apart in pieces. Now have that person take their own advice and look at the entire picture; if they come away with a pro-abortion conclusion you can only come to one conclusion and that is that the person is spiritually dead and void of all human compassion and needs to be touched by the spirit of God.
As you know, this is also a civil rights issue. All have a right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" the Constitution never denied these rights to the unborn and has always protected that right up until 1973 when the Supreme Court illegally made law instead of ruling on existing law.
The so-called health care program is beyond the scope and authority of a president, it is the forcing upon the people of America a socialized medical system, a system that the vast majority of citizens do not want. It is a system that will immorally and in many opinions illegally, force more and more of our tax dollars to be used for abortion and worse yet, force decent doctors and nurses into participating in the murder of the unborn. Down the road may well come for the infirm and elderly. Planned Parenthood admits to receiving over $300 million of our tax dollars; the reality is they have bilked the American tax payers out of Billions of dollars. As you know, there are so many other things to be talked about; how women are being forced into abortions by pimps, by parents, by unscrupulous boyfriends/spouses. There are clinics not reporting statutory rape, city officials looking the other way while these crimes are being committed, clinics that are sub-standard in sanitation and procedures. Procedures that the liberal politicians would never tolerate in any other medical facility, and yet they protect the death camps all across the country called abortion clinics.
We apologize that time does not permit a complete dissertation on the subject, but if the nay-sayers cannot see the truth in what is presented here then we feel they need a spiritual healing.

Homosexuality is now honored more than our Lord by our nation's top leaders. Since God is eternal it is hard to say how long this nation will be permitted to exist by Him according to our finite understanding. As a once proud Army veteran I now apologize to Him for defending this wicked nation that is His enemy. Although I will suffer the fate of this nation with the rest of the populace my desire is to remain on His side no matter what. It is with extreme anguish that I realize this places me at odds with my own country where I was born over one half century ago.
