Rockford citizens denied legal rights.
In defense of the Rockford police department and the pro-life citizens of Rockford.
We at the Pro Life Corner have been following events at the Northern Illinois Women’s Center (N.I.W.C.) for many years now with mixed results. We really try to look at all sides of the issue. For example, for my part, when I see a police officer I try to keep in mind that hopefully they are unbiased and interested in protecting all citizens and administer the law in an evenhanded way. It must be very difficult when an officer arrives at the Rockford killing center (N.I.W.C.) and pro-lifers and pro aborts are squared off and an officer gets caught up in a “he says, she says” situation. I want to go on record as saying I have respect and appreciate the officers of the law.
When we look at the pro-life side we see that all pro-lifers don’t have the same approach; for example, some come day in and day out and quietly pray, some hand out literature, others softly call out to the mothers, others are more vocal. Some will debate with the opposition. We can clearly see how diverse the approaches are within the pro-life community. That is to be expected behavior from any group of people in any movement, especially when there is no organized hierarchy at the top running the protest/prayer gathering; the one behavior that will not be tolerated on our side is violent behavior.
Back to the police department; these men and women who serve should be given support and respect to their office in life. The police are peace keepers and for the most part do a great job.
When we at the Pro Life Corner see or hear of a pro-lifer acting up, we will draw attention to the inappropriate behavior.
By the same token, we as citizens have the responsibility to speak out if the President, a member of Congress, mayor or alderman or police does something that we deem inappropriate; it is not only our right but our duty. The pro-life citizens of Rockford can show that on many occasions the police are willing to accept complaints from abortion supporters if they allege that pro-lifers are too loud. However, on many occasions the police have flatly refused to accept complaints from the pro-life citizens regarding the pro-aborts violations of city noise ordinances. To an outsider, these violations might seem petty but are symptomatic of a greater problem; that is a violation of the first amendment right to free speech. The pro-aborts do these noise violations for the purpose of suppressing the offers of help from the pro-life citizens to abortion- minded mothers.
Two years ago a Rockford police officer did get at least part of something right when she said: “Yes, there is a noise ordinance. If we hear it, then we can cite them (N.I.W.C.) for it. If I’m not here to hear it then I can’t file unless somebody calls and complains. And when I get here and I hear it then I can write them for it.” This officer acknowledges that there are noise ordinances in place and she will follow the law if she sees or hears it being violated. (Remember her words because below you will see Rockford police refusing to enforce existing law.)
The police, the mayor, and all city officials know the law. Mr. Morrisey himself is an attorney. Less than two weeks ago, a Rockford police officer told a pro-life citizen that they, the police, are under orders not to accept any complaints from pro-life citizens regarding noise ordinance violations. The video clips which you will see below will prove that we are telling the truth. Closer observation indicates that the police might not be the problem. The orders are coming from higher up. One needs to ask who gave such an illegal order; who is denying citizens their rights to due process? Police often have actually told pro-life citizens “You can’t file a complaint because you don’t live in the neighborhood”. What! What law is that, where is that on the books or in the Constitution? Can you imagine what would happen to this administration if they told a victim of rape “sorry, ma’m, you can’t file a complaint because you don’t live in this neighborhood?
It’s time for the government of Rockford to step back and take a serious look at the lack of response to the irresponsible behavior and sometime violent behavior the pro-aborts level against Rockford citizens. There are laws enough already on the books that can handle the problems at N.I.W.C. All that is required is fair and equitable administration of these laws.

Who gave the order to the police in the field to deny citizens the right to file a complaint?
If such an order exists, we would like a copy along with the name of whoever gave the order.
Send the office the video links below so they can see how the police react to the pro-lifers.
Ask why, when a pro-life citizen calls 911 it has taken 20+ minutes on one call and over 1 hour on another for the police to arrive on the scene.
As a long time observer of the mill I have tried to understand the behavior of the police and some in the administration and it is difficult. The fairest conclusion I can come up with is this: It appears that some, certainly not all, but some in the police and administration erroneously believe that because abortion on demand has been decriminalized, that inappropriate, vile, threatening, vulgar, extreme noise, disruptive, behavior on the part of the pro-aborts is OK. And somehow they believe all rights to pro-life citizens have been suspended. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In the spirit of honesty and fairness, if a representative of the police or administration would like to express their point of view, we would be glad to hear from you.
Let us all work and pray to gather to restore Rockford back to a great community where all citizens can walk in freedom. Freedom and all rights should be granted to all citizens all the time. What makes this video sad is that it happened two days before Independence Day but in many ways it was just another day at N.I.W.C.

ED: To our knowledge Mr. Webster has 16 video cameras pointed at pro-lifers. On occasions when a pro-lifer has been victimized by an abortion supporter, for example when Kevin was physically attacked by a client of the mill, Mr. Webster will tell the poilice he forgot to turn on the security system thereby suppressing the truth about that particular situation. He has done this at different times.
A simple solution would be if any of the pro-life supporters out there have a cell phone camera, a pocket camera that can take video, or a dedicated video camera and would be willing to show up at the mill on the days of the killings and video tape what goes on, this would be a tremendous asset to the Rockford community. Then if there is any disturbances or events that take place it could be documented and placed in the pro-life archives for future use. Some of these events, like Webster's recent actions with the chain saw, need to be shared with the world immediately! Other events seem trivial or minor at the time but when combined with other events could be beneficial in a court room enviornment demonstrating patterns, attitudes, etc..
The solution to the problem is to have volunteers taping every time the clinic is open. The day of the chain saw event the man who called in to the radio station was also one of the few people who video tapes; it is obvious he could do either/or. In hindsight, we know he did the right thing. Had there been a second person on the scene with a camera it would have been even better for the situation.
