On Saturday August 7, over 60 people picketed the Rockford abortionist’s neighborhood in Waukesha, Wisconsin!
There was no small stir! Unhappy neighbors told the pro-lifers "you've been out here every Saturday for months!" Actually, it was only their third time since May (it just seems like every Saturday, as the Lord multiplies their efforts).
Another neighbor told the pro-lifers, "I didn't know there was a murderer in our neighborhood." He thanked them for being there even walked with the pro-lifers. This picket was announced publicly and the press did show up. http://prolifecorner.com/node/398

On Wednesday August 11, an estimated 14 children died inside of Rockford's abortion mill. It was a beautiful sight to see the sidewalks filled with over 40 young people this morning praying for life. A young Rockford woman even sidewalk counseled for the first time. Unfortunately the baby killing business was busy this morning. We nearly had a tragic accident when the abortion mill landlord’s girl friend, who stands on the second floor balcony of his house screaming pro-death slogans at pro-lifers, was swarmed by insects!
She was just about to call out her pro-abortion slogans to a mother crossing the parking-lot when it was noticed she was jumping around the balcony and swatting wildly in the air. It almost looked like she was going to fall off the edge of the balcony she was so agitated.
She then grabbed a can of bug spray and sprayed everything in sight.
As she was battling her bug infestation this allowed sidewalk counselors to call out to the mother unimpeded.
Later this morning, before the abortionist arrived, a mother left the abortion mill. When a sidewalk counselor asked her "are you leaving" she smiled and waved as she drove away.
God truly does work in the most amazing ways!

It's Time To Get Ready For 40 Days For Life 2011
40 Days for Life has been one of the most successful life saving Christian missions the city of Rockford has ever seen. In an effort to make the 2011, 40 Days for Life campaign the most prayerful and effective yet we need a team of volunteers who would be willing to serve as contacts with their own church.
In this capacity, they would contact the pastors and congregation; making certain that their groups were aware of our efforts at the mill particularly during the 40 Days for Life vigil.
Although the next 40 Days for Life vigil seems a long way away, it takes time to set up meetings and presentations to area churches so we hope to begin this effort immediately.

Silent No More Awareness Campaign
Dear Friends,
As someone dedicated to standing against abortion, you are well aware of the issues of Post Abortion Syndrome and what abortion does to women. The purpose of this letter is to tell you about the Silent No More Awareness Campaign that is being held to raise awareness about the affects that abortion has on women, men and society.
I am the Regional Coordinator for the Northern Illinois and need your help to spread the word about the Campaign and to encourage those who regret their abortion to join us!
The Silent No More Awareness Campaign wants to make the public aware of the devastation abortion brings to women, men, and their families. The emotional and physical pain of abortion should no longer be shrouded in secrecy and silence, but rather exposed and healed. Specifically, this Campaign seeks to:
1. Inform the public that abortion is harmful emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
2. Reach out to people who are hurting from a past abortion experience.
3. Invite those who regret their abortion to participate in speaking the truth about abortion’s negative effects.
We are planning a gathering for Northern Illinois at the Peace Plaza in Rockford, IL on October 3, 2010 at 3:15 pm (off Perryville near Woodman’s) following the Life Chain. Those who choose to participate in the Gathering are invited to share a brief 2-3 minute testimony of their experience, and hold our “I Regret My Abortion” or “I Regret Lost Fatherhood” signs.
Those who are not ready to share their story can still participate by holding our "I Regret My Abortion" or “I Regret Lost Fatherhood” sign.
Please help us publicize this event, in addition to inviting those who have experienced abortion and healing to participate. We would also like to have people come to support and listen to our testimonies. Please consider including an article in your bulletin and/or posting the event on your website.

Baby Fair Coming / Birth, Babies, and Beyond
For those interested in babies, birth, parenting and child services, we are hosting Birth, Babies and Beyond Expo on Saturday, August 14 from 10-3:00 at the Just Goods Store, at 201 7th Street, Rockford. The event is free and open to the public. Bring the kids.
We will have vendors such as, childbirth teachers, doulas, midwives, chiropractors specializing in pregnant women, 3-D ultrasound, diaper service, breastfeeding support, cesarean support and education and others.
We will have free snacks and we will be showing the Ricki Lake movie, The Business of Being Born, all day. We will also have door prizes.
