Rockford, IL August 18, 2009 - The largest newspaper in RockfordIL, the Rockford Register-Star, has a history of rejecting pro-life ads and has recently rejected another ad sponsored by the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative.

This particular ad contains no graphic pictures or objectionable material; it simply exposes the fact that abortion hurts women, takes a human life, and that the Rockford abortion facility has a long history of anti-Christian displays. Every picture in the ad was taken by a member of the Rockford Pro-Life initiative except the beautiful picture of a child in the womb. This tasteful picture has been used by The Rockford Pro-Life Initiative and Lammar advertising on billboards through out Rockford.
The Register Star has a long history of supporting abortion and has refused to report the rampant bigotry, racism, and anti-Christian hatred by Rockford's abortion facility and it's supporters. If any other medical clinic in the city of Rockford hung rubber chickens on crucifixes, displayed peoples personal medical history in it's windows, attacked and mocked people with HIV, and displayed countless signs and symbols ridiculing God and Christians it would be reported on. The Register Star has been sent information and pictures on all of these vicious assaults on the people of Rockford, yet they remain silent presumably because it is the "sacred cow" of an abortion facility.
To be fair we need to remember the Register has printed pro-life letters and editorials. The reason we believe they refuse to report on or even accept the thousands of dollars the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative was willing to pay for these ads is because they hit to close to home. The Register Star has supported abortion in editorials in the past and if they had to explain to the people of Rockford how and why they support the kind of hate and bigotry that has long been the hallmark of the Rockford abortion facility, it would make them very uncomfortable.
The ad we wished to place in the Register Star is completely factual, documented, 100% true - and that is what makes abortion supporters in Rockford very nervous.

The Rockford Register Star is
Wed, 03/17/2010 - 10:48pm — Anonymous (not verified)The Rockford Register Star is no better than the underground papers and political screeds that scatter America's high schools and colleges. A few years back, RRStar said something in the media about the paper being printed in sixth grade level language. All around sad and definitely NOT worth their price increases. I'm afraid that the more RRStar staff involve themselves in death of babies for profit politics that they'll lose MORE business and, as time goes on, MORE profits. As if such is needed or wanted in these government created/sponsored difficult economic times. The RRStar has gotten so expensive that it's easier and more economical for us to either read the [news]papers @ the library, a restaurant or very ocasionally purchase the Sunday edition. Again, the Rockford Register Star is, intellectually, socially and morally, no better than the underground papers and screeds found scatterd around high school and college campuses. Given time and intentional inaction and excuse-making, Big Brother will control papers such as RRStar(ie; format, size, content, availability, etc.)and either folks will buy into and toe the party line or become intentionally ignorant or learn more resourceful intelligent ways to get their informationa/news. These words are not the ravings of an anti-government or anti-Obama conspiracy theorist: I'm merely sharing what I'm witnessing on a daily basis. SAD SAD SAD

Keep up the great work that you are doing in the midwest and may God continue to bless that little one who was saved. From your sister on the sidewalk in San Francisco.
