Let's not forget that under Obama and his cronies, such "healthcare" will be both mandatory taxpayer subsidized(conscience and/or beliefs or economic status be damned)AND mandatory in general. terrible. how can you look at the rest of western society and say that universal healthcare is evil? isn't it the cornerstone of judeo-christian religion to HELP the poor, sick, and hungry, not force them out into the streets because they can't pay for their medicine? does Canada have death councils? does England? the USA is hopelessly mired in ignorance and selfishness, with minds closed to anything that costs tax money that might actually help anyone... and has anyone noticed that the same people who cry out against that dreaded "socialized medicine" were also strangely willing to have trillions of dollars thrown at a war that killed way more harmless civilians than foreign or u.s. soldiers combined? but wait, that's just the American way, isn't it? for a country with supposedly noble intentions, we certainly have some backwards ways of doing things.
EDITOR: We've spoken with many people who have lived in countries with socialized medicine. None of them were impressed with the health care given. Waiting for months to get in to see a doctor (incidentally, not a doctor of your own choosing) and suffering with your illness until one can or will see you does not seem to be good medical care.
As far as the Judeo-Christian religion's helping the sick, poor, and hungry: if you can not see around you and observe that the churches in our country are taking care of so many of these people, then you must either be blind or so hardened in your left-wing rhetoric that you see nothing but what you want to see. By the way, Obama just forced Catholic Social Services in Illinois to close because they were being forced to adhere to rules that are contrary to the Church's teachings. Obama also is forcing all religious and particularly Catholic health insitutions to distribute all forms of birth control, including abortion, to their patients and against the teachings of the various churches. He is using his "health care" program to take away our rights as citizens. Any way you look at it, Obamacare is evil.
When our nation is attacked, it's time to fight back. Again, if you don't agree with that we have one simple suggestion for you: move to a pacifist country that has socialized medicine and see just how happy you will be. In other words, if you don't like it here, get out.
