Chicago - Having grown up in the pro-life movement, I know better than to take ANYTHING the mainstream media says at face value, especially when it comes to abortion. So when I saw this morning's Associated Press headline declaring "Komen drops plan to cut Planned Parenthood grants," I knew I had to see for myself what Komen was really saying. It turns out the reality is rather far from what that AP headline says. Here's what I've learned, in a

Rockford, Il – (ProLifeCorner.com) – 2-3-2012 - Pro-lifers, close those checkbooks and don’t bother sending donations to the Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.  The headlines touting that they were not going to support Planned Parenthood any longer have been rescinded already; they are now on record as saying they will continue to support Planned Parenthood.  It is our humble opinion that anyone who has already donated to Komen on the premise that money would no longer go to PP has been duped and they should be able to get their money back and/or sue for deceptive practices.

Rockford, IL – (ProLifeCorner.com) – 2-2-2012 – by James - The closing of Rockford's abortion mill has already resulted in the saving of dozens if not hundreds of lives.  The numbers of mothers seeking help from local pregnancy care centers has increased since the mill shut-down.  We know God has used this closing to change hearts and save lives.  We also know that if we do not stay strong in prayer and remain vigilant, another child-killing center could come to the Rockford area.

Rockford, Il – (ProLifeCorner.com) – 2-2-2012 -  In the past we have posted several articles demonstrating the hypocrisy on the part of the police regarding pro-life citizens who are exercising their rights to free speech.  To prove our point, we have used the “Occupy” crowd as an example of the exact opposite of how they are treated by the police.  Pro-life citizens have demonstrated peacefully at 10th and Broadway for over 25 years.  Pro-abortion thugs, i.e. Keith, Wayne, Giolitto, Moyer, etc. have pushed, shoved, threatened, and attacked in various ways, pro-life citizens.   Yet somehow the police saw nothing, heard nothing, and did nothing to protect the pro-life citizens from the tyranny of the pro-abortion crowd.

From Father Frank’s Alerts--At a time when you’d think President Barack Obama would be trying his best to “woo” the crucial Catholic vote for the November election, he comes out with a doozie of a “decree” from the Department of Health and Human Services that will REQUIRE Catholic institutions such as hospitals, charities, and universities to PAY FOR the abortion-causing “birth control” pills (as well as sterilization and contraception devices) that are diametrically opposed to Catholic moral teaching!

Komen Decision to Yank Planned Parenthood Funds

Pro-life advocates need to contact Komen and tell the breast cancer charity they appreciate the decision. “The announcement was made yesterday and the Komen office has received more than 2,000 emails denouncing the decision. We need for the Komen people to hear from pro-lifers,” he said. “I ask you right now, no matter where you are in the world, to email the Susan G. Komen Foundation and thank them for defunding Planned Parenthood.” This is an amazing victory for pro-lifers who have asked Komen for years to stop funding the abortion giant.

Commemoration of 39th Year Roe v Wade Prayer Service At Stephenson County Courthouse

Freeport, Il - (ProLifeCorner.com) -  January 23 -  Stephenson County residents gathered at the County Courthouse to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision.
Though there was celebration of the fact that the Northern Illinois Women's Center (NIWC) in Rockford, Il. has closed permanently, the main focus of the prayers was on repentance for the work left undone by the church that has left America in her current degraded condition. The event closed with a recitation of the Rosary led by PAWS, the  prolife action Group from Aquin High School.
